Family Trip 8/10-8/19

My DW graduated from a Medical program on 8/8 so this was our celebration trip. We left for Savannah on 8/10. It was absolutely beautiful, hot but beautiful. We stayed at the Inn At Ellis Square The rooms overlooked the Square very nice. We did the regular tourist things. Ate at Tubby's Tank House and Boar's Head as well as Vinnie Van Go Gos, all very good.
Left on Sunday later than I had wanted but oh well, we're on vacation!
We arrived in Orlando around four or so and searched for a Grocery Store, went to Winn Dixie because whatever I did I could not find Publix.
We arrived at The Boardwalk around 5:30, it was absolutely amazing! loved it. Spoke to the Concierge about changing the number of people on some reservations, we were able to change all!! Got into room, we were staying in a 2BR Villa. I loved it, we had a view of the quiet pool, the canal to MGM and the Swan and Dolphin.
We rushed to Dinner at The Crystal Palace. Of course we were late, but we still were sat five minutes after we got there. My DD4 would not go near anyone but did wave at Tigger at the end:mickey: My DD7 was in heaven she took pictures with all of the Characters. After Dinner my mom headed back to the Hotel and we stayed to watch Spectromagic and the Fireworks. We did some shopping and decided to not use the EMH, because we SOOO tired. On the way out I stopped at the Firehouse to see if my dept's patch was on the Wall. It was not so I will have to send one.
We got back to the Room and unpacked, my wife took advantage of our DDs sleeping and used the Jacuzzi while I finished unpacking. I went Bed at 2am, so much for not using the EMH!
It was a quiet easygoing night, but it was still fun. We decided to stay relaxed and not push ourselves the whole trip. I was so happy I felt like I was home.
