Steam Train Tour and ECV

We booked the steam train tour months ago and just recently decided my dad will be renting an offsite ECV. (He is having knee problems.) We are going for my dad's 60th birthday and he loves trains so I don't want to cancel the tour if I can help it. We're staying at CBR. Will we have any trouble getting to MK by 7:15am with an ECV? Will we have any trouble on the tour?

There is an early bus but I don't know if it will get you there by 7:15 a.m. Can he manage without the ECV for that particular morning?

I haven't done the tour so don't know how much walking is involved.

It has been several years since I've taken the tour so it's possible that this info may be obsolete. However, you might want to contact Disney for advice on your situation. You will board the train for a shakedown trip that will involve disembarking at the train shop. What I can't remember is if the same train that gets you to the shop is the same one that gets you back to Main Street station, so the ECV may be a no go for the trip.

If your dad is a train buff I think he'll be impressed with the tour.
