Wooded Area in TTC Parking Lot??

Does anyone know why they left a big patch of wooded area in the TTC parking lot? I have noticed it while down driving by but never thought about it. I was looking at WDW on Goggle Earth and its very noticeable from the air. Any guesses?

Maybe it contains a special type of tree or bush, and they had to build the parking lot around it.
I work for a developer here in Canada, and sometimes we have to re-route the direction of planned roads, so as to not cut down certain types of "threatened" trees, shrubs or even, grasses. Once the arbourists get involved - watch out.
Just a guess, though.
