Base Ticket - Basic Question

We have a base ticket each, in addition to the leftovers from the last time which were non-expiring hoppers. With a base ticket, can one leave the park then return to the same park on that same day? We are proponents of the 'nap in the afternoon' policy, and we're using the ticket at Epcot on Wednesday, so I wanted to know if we had re-entry on that day.
