AP rate prior to AP?

I'm not exactly sure how to phrase this question, so please bare with me! I plan on buying an AP when I go for my next trip in April. If an AP rate comes out can I book at the AP rate before I've purchased the AP? I don't want to buy it now and have the year start ticking, but will I miss out on any discounts if I wait to get it?

You are required to show your AP at check-in.
We go 5 to 7 times a year. They have a nites
deposit if you dont come up with a AP. So they
book the room Know.

Yes, you can book the room without the AP in hand, but you'll need it or the voucher at check-in. You can purchase the AP now and it won't start counting down until you exchange your voucher. HTH :mickey:
