We are headed to WDW in October and we are going to MNSSHP. We are not purchasing park hopper tickets and do not want to spend the entire day in MK, but we need to have park passes also enter the party. Besides a water park, what is another way to spend the day doing something Disney that is unusual? Also, we are staying off the propertry. Any ideas would be helpful.

How about downtown disney or mini golf?

You do not need park tickets to enter the party-just the hard ticket for the event. You can get into the MK at 4pm (I think) for the party and you will not use a day off your park tickets. You could go to Epcot/MGM/AK that day and then go to the MK for the party. If you don't want to go to any park that day, I would also suggest DTD or the Boardwalk. You don't need an additional park ticket to get into the MNSSHP. You can enter the park after 4pm.
We are going to the PNP party in August.
We are going to breakfast that morning at Chef Mickey's then to a Water park then back to change up for the party!!!
You could do Downtown disney, the boarkwalk, mini golf, water park or go resort hopping to check out the hotels so next time you know where you want to stay.
