Can you spare some pixie dust tomorrow afternoon?
NIH funding is not what it has been in the past, and my current lab is in flux. I was advised to keep my eyes open to opportunities. You can always find a job when you don't need one, right?
I have an interview with an AMAZING lab tomorrow afternoon- they are working to correct Muscular Dystrophy. Large lab, well funded, and my skill set seems like a very good fit (I actually LIKE to work with rodents!). This could be the career move I've been waiting for my whole adult life- a place where I can settle in and use all of the skills I have picked up over 8+ years.
So, it's just a matter of selling that to the Investigator!
Cross your fingers, everyone!!!
