Photopass - Rant Rant Rant, stomping my feet!! - Update 8/5

:mad:I am so mad at myself I could just scream. Well....actually, I already did....scream, that is. Just a little FYI to all my I-cot friends. Last year when we did the photopass we were told that after you go online to view/enhance/purchase or whatever, you have 30 days to decide what you want to do with your pictures. When I was getting down to the wire, with days left to view, I got an email reminding me that I had "x" number of days remaining. I also go several more as the days dwindled away. No problem. Well....take a wild guess as to what happened this year as my time dwindled away?!? I never got an email and lost track of the days and I lost everything. Over 200 pictures, I had made a scrapbook, christmas cards and lots of prints. Planned on purchasing everything within the 30 days, but just lost track of where i was during those days. I want to just kick myself. Gone....memories of beautiful photopass shots with our first DGD and her first disney trip.

But heed my warning, stay on top of your days. Set the I-cot countdown clock for 30 days when you first go online to view your pix, this way, as your computer opens everyday, you will know EXACTLY where you are in that 30 day time period and won't have the problem I have caused myself.

I did not get the 30 day reminder this time either. We were planning to add some of our own photos to make a book. I went on line yesterday and they are gone....

If I recall they only give you one warning and that is usely about a week before there up. I've gotten some really nice pictures and albums from photopass. Here are some of my from there.

We too have gone past the 30 days and realized that our photos were gone. However a kind email to the operator of the Photopass site asking if there was any way that they could bring them back was answered with a YES! If I remember correctly we were given an additional 15 days to view the pictures and place an order. Truth be told we actually let time pass us by and had to make the request a second time, which also resulted in the photos being brought back for a second 15 day run.

Well, I have emailed them, but was told the response time was 5 business days, so I am sure I won't hear anything until end of next week, but I'll be heading for Disney the 11th. So, as soon as I know something, I'll let you all know what happened. Thanks for the info. Send some pixie dust please.

I have pm'd some of you on this issue, please post how it went. My DD - 17 had an issue with photopass pics that she had taken at NY in the WOD store. She set up the photopass account and negelected to tell me when it expired. I asked her about it and we went on to check to find out that sure enough they were gone. I emailed the photopass people and explained what happend and they WERE able to retrieve the photos for me and gave me 10 day window to order what I wanted. Now I am not saying that they can for sure do this, but its worth sending an email to try and get them back. I know that I would be devastated to find out that all my pics were gone from our upcoing trip so i will be sure to put up a reminder on my email so that I don't miss it.

Its worth a try to contact the photopass people they may be able to help so maybe not all is lost???

In 05 they did give us several warnings and I had the same thing happen this year. Fortunately I had bought the CD when there but had planned to spend more b/c they didn't have the add ons @ that time.

I just wanted to let everyone know that if you believe in magic, faith and trust.....dreams will come true. I got an email back from Edith at Photopass. They extended me another 30 days. I jumped up and down, screamed and then calmed down and called my DH. He was at the firehouse, so he answered quickly and thought it was cool, but he had to go. I called several of my friends. But, I knew there was one thing I had left to do. I HAD to tell all my Intercot friends too. I have only you folks to thank for the FANTABULOUS idea to email them for assistance. I just assumed that once the 30 days went by, that was it. Boy was I wrong, thankfully. I was soooo excited. What a way to prepare for our trip on Saturday, but with some great news.

OOPS!! I guess I should have read all of the posts...I am glad you got this issue taken care of!



I did the same thing and called the phone number for WDW Guest services and asked to be connected to the Photopass Dept...I had to leave a message, but a nice CM by the name of Jennifer got back with me within a couple of days...she restored my pics to the website and all was good...give it a try, it might just work for your too.
