I have gone three years in Nov and gotten my tickets always in July... but the prices are still high... am I the only one waiting a bit?? Flying out of Pitts, so airtran/southwest/or usair...... starting to get nervous... hoping Airtran newest sale has some decent prices.

We booked Southwest a couple weeks ago for around 170 per person round trip. We took it because we weren't sure where things were heading price-wise. Still not as good a price as we have gotten in the past.

We got $49 each way from PHL a couple of weeks ago on Aittran. Leaving 12-03-07, returning 12-10-07.
Now starting the hunt for October.

Definitely try Airtran. My daughter is monitoring the airline she usually flys on and the prices are extremely high. She's been monitoring for a month now and the prices haven't gone down at all. Don't know what's going on.

We bought our tickets last week from SW at $218 from Denver to Orlando. Better than what we paid 3 years ago. I did see in our paper today that Frontier has specials going on now for travel through November:mickey:

Right now from Pittsburgh... flights are 250-325 per person. In the past, the MOST I ever paid was 211... and last year got 59 each way. Right now I would book if I could get 99 each way.... guess I will see what the next couple weeks brings. Seems like all the southwest ding fairs are for Sept or Oct... I hate to have to wait till Sept or Oct for a Nov ding fare.

I booked in May for Veteran's Day weekend at 228 per person. I thought it was a great deal for a holiday period and a non stop flight.

We booked our flight (nov 1-6) from Dulles back in Jan. Price was about $180 RT. Now same flights are $270. If you see something you can live with I would book it now. Who knows what will happen later in the summer with gas prices, union stuff, cutting flights for cost savings etc.

We booked our flights in May or June (can't remember). We are flying AirTran. We paid about 400 round trip per person. But we are flying out of Stewart in Newburgh, NY because it's close to home. The reason why we are paying that much is for 3 reasons: 1) We wanted to pick our own seats so we could sit next to each other (DH & I); 2) Convenience of being able to fly out close to home because we do not want to fly out of the airports in NYC & 3) I will only fly non-stop...I HATE:ack: layovers.
