Hi, I was wondering if somebody could explain how this works? We have a reservation there on our arrival night, and of course we plan on arriving on time and everything :) But, we are on the free dining plan and otherwise couldn't afford it. We are worried that something could happen (plane delayed, etc.) and we would be stuck paying a $25 (per-person?) fee? Has anyone had any experience with this?

Also, is this fee just for missing the reservation completely, or is it charged if you just show up late? If so, how late is it when it kicks in?

Thanks a lot for the help

Sorry, I've never missed a reservation so I've never been charged a fee.

According to Info Central, the policy for the California Grill is:

Cancel 24 hours in advance.
$20 per person penalty. Credit Card is needed at the time of booking to secure the reservation

So, if you don't cancel within 24 hours, and don't show up, you will be charged the penalty. I do not believe the penalty will apply if you are late. :mickey:

1) Yes, the $20 is for missing a CG ressie.
2) This is per-person.
3) Cali Grille is too popular to let tables stand empty.
4) It applies if you, or people in your party, miss the ressie.

5) Lateness
. . . usually a 15-min ressie buffer is allowed
. . . you could call if late, and try to stretch it
. . . not guaranteed to allow a stretch
. . . becasue they might not be able to fit you in later

NOTE: The ressie system says $20 per perosn for no-shows, but I heard it was going up to $25, so your $25 figure may be correct.
