The picture question leads me to something else that I think will show a huge change if the question was asked about two years ago.

Pictures: are you digital, or still using film (or disposables that use film)?

The cost film along with the cost to develop the pictures, then not know if they're really a good pic or not, digital is the only way I will go. Then with digital pics, I can always save them on a disc and pick and choose the photos I want.

I couldn't really vote since we do both. DH has gone digital but kids and I prefer disposible cameras. I like not having to worry about losing or getting it wet. I use an online phote service so I can send pics to family and ordering only the ones I want is fairly inexpensive. Digital is nice in that you can see what you get or don't get and take more pics if needed. We are a both ways family.

Love the digital! In fact, we got a new Nikon D40X to take on our Disney cruise in September!! Can't wait! :joy:

Same here!!! Nothing like being able to review to make sure you get the shot you want!!

I actually use both types. I use the digital for outdoor & well lit shots, but it's an older camera & doesn't do so well indoors with the dark rides.:( For that, I've got a nice SLR with a fast lens, and use high speed film. If my shot doesn't come out quite the way I want, well, there's always next trip...:D

You couldn't pay me enough to go back to film!

Long live digital!!!

We've had the digital for the last few trips. We still take the film camera as a back-up, but don't use it too often. (Then of course there's the camcorder...)

I voted for digital cameras, although we still do take a few regular shots as well. The main reason for using digital is because my parents gave us a new digital camera for a wedding present, and they gave me a computer, so it just makes more sense to utilize that! We still haven't developed our trip pictures from October, that's how bad we are at procrastinating... I like being able to see the pictures right away, and now I can tell if a shot doesn't come out how I want it to- I can just delete it and take another one right then and there!

I should have read part 2 first, because I went on about how much better it is using a digital camera. You save the good ones and dump the bad ones.

We are now 100% digital, including even carrying my phone into the park, not to use, but to take some pics with to use as wallpaper year round, my DW was jealous that she didn't think of it first.

We have been digital for a few years now. I love being able to pick and choose my shots as I take them. It also helps with my 7 year old that loves to take pictures and takes either 100 shots of the same thing or a great pic of the back of someone's head. ;)

Isn't that great thing?! Currently, I have a great shot of Piglet at Crystal Palace as the background on my cell phone!

I use my digital so I can load all my pix onto my computer and have a screensaver. This way I don't have tons of photoalbums taking up space. We sometimes sit at look at the pix and remind ourselves the great times we have had.

I answered digital, because now that I actually have a digital camera, that's how I will be taking pictures now. But, in the past, I have always taken film pictures.

:ditto::exactly:

A few years ago my answer would have been different. When digital first came out, IMHO the pictures were horrible (AND the cameras were expensive). Cameras came down in price and the quality got better. I now own my own digital and they do come out better than my film camera. The price of film and developing are crazy. I paid the same amount for 76 pictures as it would have been with one roll.

I couldn't vote, because I use digital and a 35 mm camera. I usually use my digital camera the most when I'm traveling but I still take along my 35mm camera for those extra special shots. I enjoy using my special lenses to try and get really professional looking pictures. BUT I love having my compact digital camera because it is easier to carry around the parks with me for longer time periods.

I prefer film photos. Don't know why? But on this trip I'll be using both.

Film? What's that?

Just kidding! LOL!

We do digital for all of our photos. I just can't see wasting $$$ on bad pics and I can't stand the disappointment when the "perfect picture" doesn't come out just right!!! With digital I know exactly what I'm getting!!!

Now that we've gone digital, I can't imagine ever going back to film. We delete all the pics we don't like and don't ever have to worry about wasting film on something that's not going to be good.

Definately digital. I like being able to see if my picture turned out and if it didn't, I like to be able to delete it and take it again!!

Held onto my film camera as long as I could. DH gave me a digital camera for Christmas. I have to say I love the instant gratification of seeing the pictures I've taken and if I need to take another one.

I like the digital because I can then either print them out or put them onto a CD and watch them as a slideshow on my TV. The cost is a lot cheaper than "old-fashion" film as well.

Once we went digital we haven't gone back. I finally got a nice DSLR but I think I will be using my compact camera much easier to carry around.

Haven't used film for a couple of years. Its even getting hard to find film processors now. The last two near us have now closed.

Definitely Digital. The quality of the photos is so much better and you don't have to deal with changing film every so often.

Digital has better quality and the convience of being able to plug it right into your computer is nice, but there is something that was always fun about to the drug store and picking up your pictures.
