Mid August attendance question...

DW and I will be taking our two DD's on a surprise, short (two day) get away to WDW:mickey: August 14th and 15th.
So here is the question: how is the park attendance during this time frame?
This will be our first time going during peak season and we are expecting the parks to be very busy.
One rumour that I have heard is that Florida school start back in session this week, is this true?
Just curious, either way I expect a great, short but sweet vacation!:D

My kids go back to school Aug. 20. Other FL counties may start the week before but I don't know. Hopefully other FL parents will post.

Hi Eric - I read on another website that during those 2 days, expected peak waiting times at MK's SplashM, BTM, and SpaceM are estimated to be at 55 - 64 min. Those estimates are supposed to be a worst case scenario. My guesstimate from past experience is that most attractions will have lines anywhere from 30 to 90 min depending on the attraction's popularity. See ya there!!!
