Just drove back from a long week end at SSR.
We did not plan to do any parks but we could not help ourselves. Saturday was park hopping for speed... Everest, RRC, Big Thunder, Splash etc. It was incredibly crowded at MGM and MK. Wall to wall. Animal Kingdom not so bad. Forgot how busy it gets in the summer. Played golf and tried the Turf Club and Wolfgangs Fine dining for the first time. Puck's was a littie pricy for what we got. Had a great lunch at Fultons. We both thought the food is much better now after the new ownership. Next trip in Oct. for the Food and Wine Festival.

Sounds like a great long weekend! Sorry about the crowds, though. Next trip sounds great, too- love the F & W festival! Thanks for the report.

Thanks for the report. We stayed at SSR in June and enjoyed it. We didn't eat on the second floor of Wolfgang Puck's since it was so expensive. You may have been better off staying on the first floor. Eating at Wolfgang Puck's is a must on our trips (the pizza is the best we ever had).

Yes, the weekends will be crowded from now until school starts. Everyone just needs an extra dose of patience and understanding. :D

Thanks for sharing - sounds like a busy, but fun time!

Played golf and tried the Turf Club and Wolfgangs Fine dining for the first time.
What course did you play? LBV? How are the conditions on the course in the warm summer months?
And how was the Turf Club? Want recent reviews on this place!

I played the Osprey. Its a great track. Due to the rain it was cart paths only, but a challenge. The sister course Eagle Pines is slated to closed and be bulldozed over once the Four Seasons Resort is built there. The hotel will be going just west of the first tee. At least thats what the pro shop guy said. The Turf Club is very nice. Not large in size but very good. Its located right above the LBV pro shop. We had prime rib and sirloin. It was very good. Thanks for asking.
