July 23, 1983 – Disney’s Documentary Featurette “Kingdom of Dreams and Magic-Tokyo Disneyland” was released.
July 23, 1993 – The Disney/Touchstone Pictures film “Another Stakeout” was released.
July 23, 1994 – The “Country Address,” a woman’s fashion store at the Disney Village Marketplace at WDW closed. (It would be replaced by The Art of Disney store.)
July 23, 1996 – Singer-songwriter Mel Torme recorded his live CD “A&E: An Evening With Mel Torme’ Live From the Disney Institute” at WDW.

July 23, 2002 – Disney released the classic animated features, “Robin Hood,” “The Rescuers Down Under,” “The Great Mouse Detective,” and “The Fox and the Hound,” on DVD.
July 23, 2002 – The soundtrack for Disney’s film “The Country Bears” was released, 3 days before the film opening. It contains songs by Don Henley, John Hiatt, Bonnie Raitt, Men at Work’s Colin Hay, Elton John, Brian Setzer, Bela Fleck, and The Byrds.
July 23, 2003 – For the 1st time WDW would run national TV ads for a single ride. The campaign was centered around the new attraction, Mission: Space opening August 15, 2003.
July 23, 2003 – Former astronaut Buzz Aldrin, took the controls aboard Mission: Space in Epcot at WDW, for the filming of an ABC television segment that features the new attraction. (The segment would shown Aug. 15, 2003 on ABC-TV during the airing of the feature film “Mission to Mars.”)
