I'm trying to find some airfare from either Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Cleveland or Erie to MCO for October. I found Air Tran from Pittsburgh for $175 round trip ... for the 5 of us that sounds pretty good ... but i've never heard of Air Tran .. is it pretty good/reliable?

Thanks!

I've never used them but here's a couple of recent discussions you might find useful.

We have flown AirTran a few times. Nothing to complain about. Was on time, we had newer planes, good service. And $175 seems like a pretty good price, I would take it! :mickey:

I have never flown AirTran but if you are looking for reasonable airfare from Pittsburgh check out Southwest. We got airfare for $69 each way plus tax. Also if you download their software called "ding" you have a chance to get something even lower. Southwest has always been reliable, the planes are clean and the attendants have always been helpful and courteous.

We've flown Airtran the 3 times we've been to Florida and we've been somewhat happy with them. The only complaint I had was that they don't have a huge selection of flights - and only one flight a day that was nonstop to Akron Canton - where we live. So we are going to Cleveland this year to fly Continental for $192 including taxes. Better selection of flights (more non-stop and better times) and comparable in prices with Airtran. There was one time where the fact that they did not have a big selection of flights made it rough - they changed our flight on us and supposedly emailed us about it (we never got that) so we had to hang out in the airport for 7 hours with a two year old waiting for the next flight. The other times we flew Airtran were fine though.

I flew it once, and I loved it. Low prices, and courteous attendants. I highly recommend them.

Well, I have not flown with Airtran YET, but I have posted before regarding Airtran.

We are scheduled to leave on Sept 8th from Indianapolis to Orlando, and they have changed our flight THREE TIMES in less than THREE WEEKS. Our original flight was scheduled to leave at 7, then changed to 5, now it's scheduled at 3:15. And, we still have 50+ days to go. We'll see....

My children flew with my parents to Orlando in June, and they loved it. Especially getting to listen to Radio Disney on the plane. (XM radio)

I use Airtran everytime I travel. I've never had a problem. They were very accomodating last summer when I took my niece and nephew to Disney.
