Has anyone who recieved the DVC upgrade booked through AAA? Or are all the upgrades going to people who booked directly through Disney? Thanks for your help.:mickey:

Apparently there are a fair number of people who reserved at a value and are recieving free upgrades to a DVC resort.

1) Normally, space-related upgrades are Disney ressies.
2) Kind of a loyalty thing.
3) They do upgrade other travel agent guests.
4) Just not all that often.

NOTE: When you need to move someone, you first look for in-and-out dates. With a likely ressie candidate, you open the ressie and you instantly see a Disney ressie versus a travel agent ressie - as well as the other pertinent package info.

So, does this mean because I'm booked now as a grand gathering through Magical Journeys that I would not be offered an upgrade?
Cuz, if this is the case, I'd be happy to dump my sisters :secret::blush:

Thank you for the explanation. We already reserved at a dvc because of the space we needed versus price of two rooms or suites. I guess I am out of luck. The vacation was my mom's idea so she did most of planning. Only 28 days away....woohoo:mickey:

Never heard of this. Will have to find out more for Dec. trip. Too late for Sept. one!

Makes sense. When they are paying the commission to a TA instead of themselves, I can see more "perks" going to those that book directly with Disney.
