We finally booked our flights for our September Disney trip!!! :joy: I got a fare of $153.79 each! When they first released the dates it was going to cost us something like $230.00 each! I am SO excited for some reason it seems like things are so much closer now!!! 61 days, 22 hours, and 35 minutes!!! How did the rest of you New Englanders do? I know there were a bunch of people looking for DING fares.

If you're not in the NE area how did you do for your area?

Can't wait it's torture!!!! :fit:

You're gonna hate me, but flying out of Green I got $92 each way for September on SW. :D And that wasn't DING - just regular fares.

I got lucky. :D Originally booked for $99 each way (I was tired of waiting), but a Ding knocked it down to $63. Now we have some money in the "bank" to plan our trip to Tampa to see DF & DSM next spring! :)

Mary Poppins Fan when are you heading down to WDW? I notice you are also in RI.

I am still waiting for a good Ding fare for October, from BDL (Hartford) to MCO. I've been on vacation so haven't had a chance to watch the fares... hoping that the next few weeks will bring cheap Oct fares!! (if anyone sees any SW dings let me know...)

We've always had great luck with DING! fares out of PVD (T.F. Green). The trick is to keep looking twice daily beginning four to five months out. Our fares ($54 each / one way there - $59 each / one way back) in August appeared ONLY once. We'll be traveling down and back for less than $400 for a family of three. Yes, Southwest IS something of a flying bus, however, as it is only a 2 hr 50 m trip... I'll gladly pocket the fare difference and enjoy an extra sit down or two!!!

Bah, I'm jealous! Southwest doesn't come here so I don't get Ding fares. Boo!

The cheapest round trip price currently for my Dec flight is about $270. Here's hoping I get as lucky as you guys did one of these days!

Those are the fares we got last time which is exactly why I was holding out for a lower fare. I'll certainly settle for the $63/$69 fare!!! I was surprised it took so long this time. I've never had to wait so long. Wonder what's going on with SW. Why the big delay in lower fares. When I started looking there were other major carriers that were about the same price if not a little lower. Funny.

Hehehe. Nice price!
I saw that $63 cost but I couldn't convince my BF to leave the house at 4am to go for the plane. (We live in Central Mass.) He preferred to pay $30 more per ticket so he could sleep in and stop at the local DD when they opened for coffee at 5am.

OMG we booked our Nov 21-Dec 1 trip last month and thought we did good with $302.10 each! Ouch, now I'm jealous. Wish we were in the $70 boat, gee maybe the next round!

How do you go about getting the software for the DING prices?

Go to the Southwest Airlines web-site and scroll to the bottom. There's an area in orange that includes a link to Ding.

We booked SW for $69/$63 from LI yesterday.

That is still more then the $54 down, $59 back flights we got last year but we'll take it!! I sm very picky about our arrival and departure times so I did not want to wait to see if fares go lower.
