Ride Closings

How much in advance does DIsney usually announce ride refurbs/closings. I have heard a rumor that they are shutting down Rockin Roller Coaster this September but nothing is on the web site about this. I hope this is a huge rumor cause daughter #2 will be so Sad :mad: actually mad because she has finally made it to the 48" height!

Disney really doesn't have a set time frame for announcing them unless they know far in advance. I would believe the rumours since RNRC recently was closed for 3-4 days due to a major problem so I am sure it is over due for a refurb.

Notice is (unfortunately) generally minimal.

As soon as closures are confirmed by Walt Disney World Operations, we post them in the rehabs (http://www.intercot.com/discussion/../infocentral/calendar/refurb.asp) section.

On occasion they are up here before on the Walt Disney World site.

Does anyone know if schedualed rehabs are shorter than announced. We leave on September 10th is there a chance that Haunted Mansion could be open by then?

There is always a chance of it opening early but I wouldn't count on it
