We will be arriving at the CBR later this month and were wondering how the Magical Express has worked for any of you. We have used it at other resorts, but for them the bus drops you off for check-in and the lobby is close to your room (BC for example). With the layout of CBR how do you get to your room? We are assuming they transfer you to your room, but were wondering about any of your experiences. If we have time for a swim before our luggage arrives and/or our room is ready are there changing facilities available? Thanks for any help you can offer!

I believe the luggage arrives to your room. And there is an internal bus system to get to your room.

If you are arriving by DME and don't have luggage with you (except small carry-ons), you will most likely be told where the internal shuttle bus stop is, and that you can take that to get to the village where your room is, or to Old Port Royale for the main pool. The internal shuttle stops at the Custom House, the building you will be in, and then stops at each village and also OPR.

If you DO have luggage with you (some people give up the best perk of DME, and delay themselves by going to baggage claim for their own luggage and then bring it to their DME bus), a Bell Services CM can drive you in a van to your room with your luggage (luggage isn't permitted on Disney Transport buses, even the internal shuttles). If your room isn't ready (and thus they would be storing your luggage), I would imagine they'd also tell you you can take the internal shuttle rather than giving you a ride to OPR.

If your room isn't ready and you want to swim, then go to the main pool at OPR. There are changing facilities (small, but adequate) and pool towels there. The village quiet pools don't have changing facilities or towels.

We were just there at the end of June and DME dropped us off at the Custom House. We checked in, and even though it was a little early, our room was ready! The Cast Member at the CH told us that we could use the internal bus, as we only had our carry-ons. Instead of waiting for the bus we decided to walk because our 'island' was Aruba, not to mention we were sitting all morning on the plane. It was a pleasant walk along the pathway inside the islands. Wish we were there now!
