1900 Park Fare renovation-what does "pre-plated-mean?

During the 1900 Park Fare renovation when they are mvoing it to GF Cafe and having pre-plated meals, what will this mean?
Do you get to choose your meal or will it be a sampling of dishes?
Also, will the characters still be present even though it is temporarily moved to GF cafe?

A pre-plated will most likely give a choice of a few different breakfast dishes. Think Denny's Grand Slam ;) You will choose one plate and that will be your meal. The Characters will still be present but the reason for pre-plated meal is the Cafe is not setup for buffet service and they don't want to disrupt the operation of the restaurant the remainder of the day.

Dining Cast have reported that the plate options will be derived from the typical 1900 Park Fare buffet offerings.
