Paying cash + using DVC points?

Weird question: we're planning our Feb 2008 week-long vacation at AKV. We need to use "reservation points" before they expire, so we're tacking on 1 day at Contemporary before we move to AKV. Just to make things interesting, we thought of actually paying for the Sat night at Contemporary, then using reservation points for Sun night THEN using my regular DVC points for the rest of the trip. Have you ever asked Member Services to actually pay for part of a reservation w/ cash and been able to make that reservation through them?

Yes. Actually, last Sept. we didn't have enough points for an entire week (didn't want to change resorts), so MS suggested we "buy" one night which would give us the 7 nights. That's what we did and they linked the reservations so that we didn't have to change rooms. It turned out great and in addition, we got the DVC discount on the cash room. Good luck!:mickey:

Yes, we are doing this for our visit next week. We are paying cash for our last night (saturday) since we didn't have enough points - and received the DVC discount as well. They linked the reservation for the dining plan as well.:mickey:
