Since the first part of the trip was at Vero Beach, I am going to do the first few days all together on one report. When we get to the Disney days, I will do them day be day. It was a great trip and every one had a blast.
It was our first time to Vero Beach and we will surely be going back!
We finally arrived in Florida about 5 hours late. Our filight from Balimore was really delayed! Once we were in the air, though, everything went well. We got our luggage and our car and headed to Vero via 95. We checked in and were give the studio right next to my in-laws one bedroom. We opened up the adjoining doors and had a great 2 bedroom!
The beach was great, but VERY shelly. We were all gald that we had our water shoes. The waves were calm and the kids were able to touch for a long ways out.
The pool and slide are awsome. I think it is probably the best Disney hotel slide I have been on. The pool and the beach were both uncrowded and easy to get places for our big party to sit.
We rented jet skiis one day and went for a long ride. It was great. The kids played in all of the organized games, kick ball, dodge ball and soccer. We tried the miniature golf and several of the craft activities. The kids really had LOTS of choices with the activities that were offered.
WE did not try to table service restaurants for dinner, we ventured out and tried some suggested local establishments. We had great dining experiences. WE did do the character breakfast Saturday morning before heading up to Disney. Donald and Goofy were there and were great in their beach apparel.
That is about it for Vero, lots of time in the sun, on the beach and in the pool. We were nice and relaxed for the fast pace Disney days coming up.....also, lots of technical difficulties!:mickey:
