thanks I just got that Ding! too, but the prices are really high for our time - dec 1 -9th....going down $99 and returning to get any decent times $180 pp...I think I will take my chances and wait for a good Ding! .....hopefully I wont regret this decision!

I got $99 one way from Manchester to MCO for Jan.6th. Can't get a return flight yet because I'm returning Jan. 13th - 2 days after the latest booking dates. Oh well, If the price drops I can always apply the funds to my return ticket.

In April or May, I can't remember, they had $29 Ding fares from IAD to MCO. I am VERY patiently waiting for this fare again.:fingers:

I also just booked our flight from Kansas City. I was surprised it was $69 one way. I really expected it to be higher and to have to wait for a DING fare. We are going 12/8 to 12/15. JayhawkMouse, if you are leaving Orlando on the 6:45 flight, we will be on the same plane. Now if the next 164 days will go by a little faster.......

I can't believe the prices for Thanksgiving week...$200+ each way for the flights we want from Baltimore to Orlando!!!

Any experts out there know whether that's just how it is during Thanksgiving week (I've never traveled then so this is all new to me) or if there is a possibility rates will go down or specials will become available??

No Momto2.. we are leaving on the 4:20 flight because my DH insisted on non-stop this time. We got stuck in Atlanta an extra night when we went in 2005 & it was not much fun.

I was disappointed this morning when I saw that the cheapest fare from Denver to MCO was $140 each way, but I decided to go ahead. Imagine my delighted surprise when the fare turned out to be $99 each way. For three of us I paid $656. Not bad for non-stop flights from Denver!

I'm not an expert but last year we left Chicago on the first flight out on Thanksgiving Day and came back the first Sunday in December. I bought at $120.00 and that same day sthey went down to $99 then a bit later to $92 and then the last time to $84 each way....so in the past they did keep getting lower but that does not mean they will this year.

Now, what about New Years Day. Me and the kids are planning to be flying that day but flights are at $94 (down from $99), will they go lower for that day? I was hoping for a good $49.00 flight but am i hoping for too much? We are also returning on the 13th so i cannot purchase those yet!

I am going Jan. 2- 12. SW states I can't buy past the 11th. I noticed on the previous posts that some of you purchased one-way tickets, and plan on purchasing the departure tickets when the flights are released at a later date....

HOW did you get a one-way? Because when I try to do that on the website, it states I need to pick the returning flight.....it won't let me....

Help........!

There's a little button you have to select which is easy to miss. The round-trip button is automatically selected which is why it's asking you to put in your return information. If you click on the one-way button, it will allow you purchase your one-way ticket and won't be asking your for your return-flight information.
