Thoughts/Experiences on Wildlife Discovery Excursions

Hi Everyone,

We are staying at the Wilderness Lodg Concierge/Club level in December. It is my mom's first time since AK and MGM opened at Disney World. We were thinking of doing the Wildlife Discovey Excursion. Has anyone tried this tour? Is it worth it - for the 4 of us, it will be $180. We don't mind spending the money - if it is worth it.

Since this excursion is tied to being a concierge level guest, I'm going to move this over to Accommodations where you'll hopefully stand a better chance of finding someone that has done it...

This actually used to be a VIP tour and it's very nice if you enjoy the animals. You do need to have park admission though. It's similar to the Kilimanjaro Safari ride, but the vehicles are climate controlled and they make frequent stops for you to take pictures. There's a naturalist on board instead of the Little Red soundtrack.

If you've ever done Kilimanjaro and wished you had more time, then you'll think the Discovery Expedition is well worth it.
