Ok.. I think we can pretty much send in the search posse... or play a game at his expense. Games are fun, let's be the posse. (This game changes to "Where is JP" later)

So, I'll start. I'll give a Disney Theme Park or a VMK clue as to where I think he might be at and you all guess where it is.

I'll tell you who has the first correct answer.
That person will give the next clue and let the next correct person know it's their turn.. and so on.

Capisc? Ok, here we go..

I think Yavn is in Disneyland enjoying an adult beverage at "the only place" you can get one in this park.

terri.m
06-18-2007, 04:03 PM
Club 33!

Patricia
06-18-2007, 04:08 PM
Wow! That was fast! :)

Terri.M is correct! Clubb 33 is the only place inside of Disneyland where adult beverages are sold.

Tea, the floor is your.. don't forget to tell the next person it's their turn.

terri.m
06-18-2007, 04:11 PM
Why thank you mermaid patti, thank you very much (oops wrong window here...)

Ok here we go

I think Yavn was caught by disney's latest yeti!

mickeynuts
06-18-2007, 04:11 PM
Woot he's riding everest!

terri.m

Woot cita!! I pass the torch to you...

mickeynuts
06-18-2007, 04:16 PM
I think he is eating a churro and listening to Beach Boys music played in bubbles.
 Laura

Patricia
06-18-2007, 04:24 PM
He's with Dean Martin??

Oh wait.. I thought you said Tiny Bubbles. NVM

terri.m
06-18-2007, 06:26 PM
i'm totally guessing because i really don't know but is it Turtle Talk with Crush??

mickeynuts
06-18-2007, 06:57 PM
nope sorry hehe

WDWfanatic742
06-18-2007, 07:42 PM
I'm taking a total guess here and I don't know where you can find a churro in DTD, but is yavn in The Rock N Roll Beach Club in Pleasure Island?

mickeynuts
06-18-2007, 07:45 PM
nope

chrisb26
06-18-2007, 08:09 PM
Well this is also a total guess and dont even know if you can have food here but. Is he in the Virgin Megastore in DTD listening to the music under one of those bubble speaker things?

mickeytinkerbellprincess
06-18-2007, 08:09 PM
I'm totally guessing here.. (BTW Patti, great game! :D )

I'm not sure of the correct name, but the Jazz Blues House place in Downtown Disney?

See.low
06-18-2007, 10:20 PM
Okay, after sitting for a long time in a fish tank with some VERY rude mermaids, I just had a "duh See" moment. Yavn is sitting outside of California Screamin enjoying his churro!
Boo.yaw!! :D
And patti took mine, so now give me a minute to come up with something else.

mickeynuts
06-18-2007, 10:24 PM
Very very close, actually he is closer to Jumpin Jellyfish, but that works for me!
 Laura

And now I let it get too late and my brain has already turned in for the evening. Anyone else care to try? Come on people..throw me a bone.

Anyone else care to try? Come on people..throw me a bone.Oh, you know I got your back, See.

I have it on good authority that Yavn is standing under a sign that says "Disneyland, Elevation 138 Feet."

Ricks (who has less than 138 feet)

Patricia
06-19-2007, 01:25 AM
Poor See, I kept going on about underwater themes.

Tricks, I'm thinking Disneyland Main Street Railroad Station.

RicksCafe
06-19-2007, 09:21 AM
And you would be correct, Patti.

(Bonus points for anyone who knows the elevation at the New Orleans Square Station.)

Ricks (who thought it would take longer than 13 minutes to get his... sigh)

Patricia
06-19-2007, 10:58 AM
It's a climb up to New Orleans Square. Elevation there is at 143 feet.

I think Yavn is off in Ancient Greece, learning about story tellers finding a new forum from which to speak. Giving us.. the theatre.

chrisb26
06-19-2007, 11:04 AM
Well I believe Yavn would now be in Spaceship Earth right about where he is seeing just how the theatre was born.

Patricia
06-19-2007, 11:29 AM
Wow, record fast time!

The Dino has it!

chrisb26
06-19-2007, 11:42 AM
Well that was one of my favorite rides so wasn't too difficult for me. :)

Yavn is now in a place where you can learn that your home town just might be the proud owner of the Effiel Tower and Yavn might just be "That Guy"

WDWfanatic742
06-20-2007, 03:02 AM
How about livening this thread up a bit and guessing France in World Showcase, which is obvious and wrong, because it's simply too easy to guess that. :secret:

oh oh! You You Got it!!

The laugh floor is the place you can learn that a monster knows what is in your home town and it is the effiel tower.

Your turn

Tinkerbell627
06-20-2007, 01:55 PM
Sorry it took so long, I got a late start this morning.

Let's see:

I think Yavn is now on a flight to a planet that some very resourceful and cuddly creatures call home.

terri.m
06-20-2007, 04:05 PM
Hmm would that be Star Tours??

Tinkerbell627
06-20-2007, 05:20 PM
^ Hmm...

That would be correct!

terri.m
06-20-2007, 07:16 PM
Hmm then it's back to me...

- this is yavn speaking -

"where did it go??"
"it use to be here! Why is it gone??"
"oh it's so unfair..."

- yavn is done speaking now -
;)

Yavn sees a Hidden Mickey on this ride and its an animated character wearing a Mickey Mouse watch?

Where is he in DLR?

Patricia
06-21-2007, 02:50 PM
Ok.. if nobody else is guessing I will.

Is he on Indiana Jones? I hear the skeletons in there adore Mickey.

mickeytinkerbellprincess
06-21-2007, 08:36 PM
Umm.. a total out of the blue guess.. Splash Mountain?

Chescat
06-21-2007, 10:00 PM
Patti is right. Its in Indiana Jones Adventure. A skeleton is wearing a Mickey Mouse watch. The skeleton flies out from the wall at you from the right side. It can be found after you see Mara and the bridge for the first time. You swing a few dark turns, then enter an area with a lot of skeletons. It comes up pretty fast.

Sorry I took so long responding was at DLR today with christinedog and just got home. :mickey:

Now if we could just fin Patti to post the next clue :whistle::whistle::wait::bubbles::read:

Patricia
06-22-2007, 04:40 PM
I got it?!?

I rock..

I think Yavn decided to think BIG. He is on the largest attraction you will find in a Disney Theme Park.

RicksCafe
06-22-2007, 04:46 PM
Now if we could just fin Patti to post the next clue I've been trying to "fin patti" for about five years now, and she is quite obstinate about not being finned. And between you and me, I'm losing my patience.

Ricks (who has no idea what the largest attraction is... but he'll go with.... Kilimanajaro Safaris!)

Patricia
06-22-2007, 04:56 PM
That's it. I'm fin with this game!

You got that correct in 6 minutes.. I guess it was too easy. ;)

RicksCafe
06-22-2007, 05:13 PM
I guess it was too easy. ;)As I tell those I conquer in pirates: you're not bad, I'm just that good. Well, me and me matey anyway.

My monkey sources tell me that Yavn is hanging out at the only ride that was open in Adventureland when the world changed in Nineteen Hundred and "Fin"-ny Five.

Ricks (who will fin patti yet, you just watch)

WDWfanatic742
06-22-2007, 05:29 PM
Haha, I got it.

My internet sources tell me that yavn is hiding in The Jungle Cruise.

- Adventureland had only one ride which was the Jungle Cruise.

- Tomorrowland had more exhibits than rides. There were rides and exhibits that are now long gone: the Aluminum Hall of Fame, Rocket to the Moon, a 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea exhibit and Space Station X-1.

- Frontierland had only stage coach rides.

- Fantasyland had rides that are still open today: King Arthur Carousel, Snow White's Adventures, Dumbo, and the kid-terrifying Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

Your also missing Peter Pan, Mad Tea Party, Storybook Land Canals, Autopia, and Casey Jr. Circus Train. I remember this because of the 50th and each of these had a gold vehicle. Snow White did not have a gold vehicle for some reason, but it did open at park opening.

Also just looked and Mark Twain and Railroad were going also. Disneyland website has the rides marked that were 1955 Originals.

My grandfather took a movie when they went to the park about 4 or 5 months after it opened. I remember seeing the boat. Also my favorite thing back then was the Chicken of the Sea Pirate Ship in Fantasyland.

WDWfanatic742
06-22-2007, 05:45 PM
Hmm, I knew that. Totally forgot about the rest of those Fantasyland rides. That would be a weird park. No BTMRR, Splash, Space, Matterhorn, Pirates, Mansion

Chescat
06-22-2007, 06:00 PM
Yeah we were boring people back then, right Nachocat! Didn't take much to excite us.
:wait::bored:

But at least back then they let us bump cars on the autopia. One time we had a 15 car bump! We did have the Mine Train and the Matterhorn after 1959 though. :D

WDWfanatic742
06-22-2007, 06:22 PM
Opening day incidents on July 17th, 1955:

- 90 million watched via a live television broadcast.

- Guest list of 15,000 swelled to almost 30,000 attendees. :faint:

- Local police dubbed the seven-mile freeway backup the worst mess they had ever seen. :drive:

- Rides and attractions broke down under the unslaught of guests, opening and closing periodically to make way for television crews.

- Fantasyland closed temporarily due to a gas leak. :flame:

- Main Street's freshly-poured asphalt softened in the heat. Women wearing high heels sometimes left a shoe behind, stuck in black goo. :dighole:

- Because of a plumber's strike, both restrooms and drinking fountains could not be ready by opening day. Walt opted for restrooms, leaving visitors hot and thirsty.:laundry:

And after that 1,000 page dissertation, all I have to say is... Fan wins! Go to it, boy.

Ricks (who would not be sitting here right now if he had that Chicken of the Sea pirate ship in his backyard)

WDWfanatic742
06-22-2007, 06:47 PM
My internet sources are telling me that yavn is hiding in this ride, with the help of it's mail carrying sponser, provided the chance to go up, up and away at Walt Disney World in the old days.

Oops, just re-read my question and it sounds like the ride is not there anymore. The ride is there now, just the sponser isn't sponsering it anymore. There is no sponser nowadays also.

chrisb26
06-22-2007, 07:19 PM
Would Yavn have taken a trip to the past and is now riding Delta Dreamflight?

WDWfanatic742
06-22-2007, 07:26 PM
Nope, not it but a good guess. He's somewhere close in that area though... ;)

Space Mountain and sponsor was Federal Express? (I know they used to be for DLR one) :D

If its right I want Dino to ask the next question. ;)

WDWfanatic742
06-22-2007, 08:10 PM
Correct Miss Cat

Space Mountain at Walt Disney World has had three different sponsors. RCA orginally was the first sponsor of the ride from 1975 to 1983, GE then bought the sponsorship until 1985, and from there went sponsorless until 1996 when FedEx joined and stayed until just recently in 2005. As of now, the ride does not have a sponser.

I wonder where yavn went now, Cat?

Chescat

06-22-2007, 10:24 PM

WDWfanatic742
06-22-2007, 10:36 PM
Maelstrom :D

A good dark ride and the first to go backwards in WDW (I think anyway )

chrisb26
06-22-2007, 10:39 PM
That is correct. I think I'm going to start calling you Mr. WDW Trivia. You know some much trivia things about that place. Anyways it is true Yavn was running from the trolls and even backwards.

Your up!

WDWfanatic742
06-22-2007, 10:55 PM
Yavn is hiding in this attraction that opened just two days after Walt Disney World offically opened where you glide over London, Mermaids, Indians, and a certain captain.

chrisb26
06-22-2007, 10:57 PM
would that be captain hook in Peter Pans flight?

WDWfanatic742
06-22-2007, 11:00 PM
Correct Dino

Peter Pan actually wasn't actually the first ride to open after WDW opened. The Admiral Joe Fowler Riverboat began operation in Frontierland on October 2nd, 1971.

chrisb26
06-22-2007, 11:19 PM
okay I couldn't think of a question that would really stump Mr. Trivia so I'll just put this one on where Yavn is now.

Yavn was shocked to learn from one CM that the ride he was about to get on was all about the history of Walt Disney World.

PinkJJ
06-23-2007, 01:45 AM
Uh, would that be the Carousel of Progress ?

IamBelle

chrisb26

It's not a ride, but is it One Man's Dream?

Uh, would that be the Carousel of Progress ?

Pink is actually correct. This is the information given to Jp on his recent trip to WDW a CM was telling people that the Carouself of Progress was actually about the history of WDW. So kinda a trick question if you hadn't read his trip report.

Pink would you like to tell us where Yavn has ventured off now. Even though he finally decided to give us a newsletter I heard he was right back on his way to the world but can't figure out just where he is now.

PinkJJ
06-23-2007, 12:35 PM
Thank you Dino, I will take it from here. By the way, I did get the answer from JP's trip report. So thank you JP! :)

I have been told by some men in black that Yavn was last seen standing under the Disney family's crest, or coat of arms.

That is the right exhibit, in Innoventions east, across from the plastics robot game exit. It is in the Opportunity City Exhibit and is specifically the "Family Business Rally" game. It is under a geodesic dome frame and up to three people at a time play a game of supply and demand. Each person has a pole with a slide along the floor crosshair attachment. One person advertises, another person orders supplies while the third person sets prices and sells. The idea is to set up the market in such a way as to make the most money in the time alotted.

Tinkerbell627
07-11-2007, 04:06 PM
:look: Detective Zumop is on the case!

Now, let's take a look at JP's diction:

"We are off to see our good friend M. Kimutai"

"We" implies that he is indeed with Yavn.
"are off to see" implies that they are not yet at that location. Maybe they are on some sort of transportation, and from the last clue, that could be anything from a boat, a monorail or a bus. Interesting.
"our good friend" implies that they are going to visit something or someone they enjoy visiting. If you take it literally, they really could be with someone they know personally.
"M. Kimutai" is a tough one. The exotic sounding name may imply it is an alcoholic beverage or maybe a location in a far off country. This could mean they are in Animal Kingdom. Or a bar. Exotic, no?

If you put the clues together, you have two men visiting a something with an usual name that they enjoy. I'm guessing they are consuming an alcoholic beverage.

Now that I've gotten all that silliness out of my system, my curiousity really got the best of me, so I looked up M. Kimutai and cross-referenced it with Disney. My results mostly dealt with athletes and athletic events, so my real question is:

Are they at Disney's Wide World of Sports?

Ok, you have to be walking past it. Usually details that you will clearly see when walking are in queue's or walk through attractions. "Eye for details" has to be a clue.

Ugh, I will never look at a crate the same way again...

Are you looking at a crate at the dig site in DinoLand? I don't go there much myself, but it seems like a cratey place.

I'm telling you... you will now see details in the park you have walked right by in the past. Once you know where this is you will look for it everytime.

Also.. I want everyone to find the sign that says "A crocodile ate my paddle" on your next visit to Kail River.

Coming into this late. I was going to guess one of the crates at the African Outpost in World Showcase (I heard they had some; haven't seen them myself), but I didn't see African Outpost on that long list about which Patti said "Yes, one of those".

How many guesses per day, or is there no limit?

WDWfanatic742

Does it matter? Nobody is ever going to guess where this thing is at. I'm beginning to think that this is a made up magical object that the two of them made.

Well nobody will guess it with the rate his clues are coming in. A crate? That is just so helpful I don't know what I would do with out that clue ;)

Now he says its on a crate but with there being probably a million crates in all of the WDW Resort that is really no help at all. We still don't know if it is at a resort or at a park or someplace else on property.

He wants to win this game and to have us call him master which I hope he knows will Never happen.

So for now ill just continue to guess.

How about somewhere in the Animal Kingdom Lodge?

I have another guess, in Animal Kingdom. Am I allowed another one today? Or is it not in Animal Kingdom?

There is no limit to your guesses you can guess as many times as you want we can't afford to have only one guess per day lol.

Here's a photo for my guess. I can't read the writing, so for all I know it mentions M. Kimutai.

lol.. that's funny. But wrong. It really is a crate.

I have a picture of this crate and others.. what do you people do in the parks? Ride on attractions all day? :nono:

JP can't win.. when you guys didn't get mine I just posted the answer. Although, he is tougher than I am.

And just so you know the crates are not made up by us..

I am sure that I found where this thing is at. Need to check something on it first! No posting :D

This crate is at Min and Bill's Dockside Diner at Disney/MGM Studios and is with a bunch of other crates.

If I am right, I'm promising you that when I posted, the picture that patti posted up there was not up yet.

You guys even have a picture of it now

and still no luck

Ok so here's the deal I have 66 posts until I hit 9,000 so if nobody answers correctly by then I will reveal the answer with my 9000th post. Of course I will then post a new location for you to find

Dino is correct

But don't jump up and down just yet because while you were struggling and searching and going nuts to find the answer Nachocat had it 3 Days ago but enjoyed watching you all suffer :thedolls:

Ok, I looked through your WDW pictures and picture 67 is a box with M. Kimutai on it, Pangani Forest Wildlife Santuary, Harambe Wildlife Reserve. So I'm guessing that it's at the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail.

So Dino the floor is yours :mickey:

Mickey's shoes are in the ganger area?! Next time I go to WDW, I'm going to have to get a list of things to look for:look:. I have no idea where the "missing shoes" are unless I get another hint.
