I work in Omaha and have to go south an hour after work to see one of my son's baseball games. Since this is not a route I usually take a did a google map overhead view to find the best route. If you go into google maps and type in Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, NE-- take a look about 1/2 mile NW of the main runway. A farmer has harvested a message into his ground that says "you make America proud". I got goosebumps when I saw it. How do you suppose the pilots fly in there feel when they see it? For those of you who don't know, Offutt Air Force houses the Stategic Air Command center. It's where President Bush flew after 9/11. Hope you see this and enjoy it!

Well, you are correct about the exclamation mark, but that would appear to add emphasis to the fact that our troops (specifically these pilots) make America proud. I can't imagine anyone would go to that much work if it was an "order". Still think it's cool someone thought of that right by the main runway.

100% agreed. I thank God daily that we have folks willing to enlist and defend our freedoms. Especially in Iraq and Afghanistan.
When i served it was during the first gulf war. Folks were very patriotic then and even today the VAST majority of our Nation are so proud of all our military does.
