Year of 100 Questions: #59

This time we'll pit a couple of the older "4-D" attractions against each other and see what happens. Do you prefer Epcot's "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience" or Animal Kingdom's "It's Tough to be a Bug"?

If I get around to it, I may post Q60 this weekend; if not, on Monday.

I don't love It's Tough to be a Bug!, but Honey, I Shrunk the Audience appears old and tired.

I agree that Honey I Shrunk the Audience appears tired, but It's Tough to be a Bug appears more 'fresh'.

We love HISTA but we also think it looks really old and "Tired" as some have said. It's been around for quite a while.

I agree that HISTA feels old and tired. I can't remember the last time I actually went to see it. It was probably 6 years ago and I was ready for something new then. I tried to remember what it was like the first time I saw it for this poll and I remember being far more wowed the first time I saw Its Tough to Be a Bug. Plus, ITTBAB has an awesome theater and theming leading up to the show.

The bugs are fantastic! They are very cute. HISTA feels tired. And what's with the commercial at the beginning? I felt like I'd been in line FOREVER by the time that we made it into the theater there (with a posted 10 minute wait!)

HISTA is not an attraction like Spaceship Earth, Space Mountain, or It's a Small World, which are classics that can withstand the test of time. It's just old, obscure, and outdated. In fact, it wasn't all that funny to begin with. It's time for a change. :judge:

I haven't taken the time to watch either one in years but I vote Honey I Shrunk the Audience because I like the movie Honey I Shrunk the Kids a lot.

I liked ITTBAB but a lot of it scared DD when she was 2, so we'll probably have to wait until she's MUCH older to see it again LOL

Has to be ITTBAB. I agree that Honey, I... looks tired, but so does the Muppet 3D show. I wish they could go in and change the story line and add something to it. I know there will also be people coming in every day that have never seen it, but for those who go more often, it would be nice to see some updating.

I chose Honey I Shrunk The Audience. I chose it for the simple reason that I simply cannot handle the "bugs" poking you in the butt at the end. It creeps me out to even think of it. But, my boyfriend has never been to AK, so I guess I'm going to have to take him in Nov.

I love the Honey I Shrunk the Audience show. I see it every time I go and I'm never sure what's coming next.

Do kids still watch that movie?

None of my children have seen the movie, our oldest DD is 10. I don't care for the snake in HISTA. I'm an adult and everytime it jumps out at me I close my eyes. I'll take bugs over snakes any day of the week!!! :bee: :bfly:

ITTBAB for sure :thumbsup: but one of my twins hates it so I sit outside with him investigating the tree. Hopefully he can see it this year, he'll be 6 1/2. Sometimes first impressions scare us for years. Wish the little daredevil was too scared to do the other things he does....

One last thing as to why I picked ITTBAB over HISTA. . .

There (in my opinion) is no better line to wait in than ITTBAB!!! Walking the winding path around the Tree of Life and pointing out all of the animals carved into it is always so much fun! Plus I love looking at all of the show posters, they always crack me up!!!

I chose Bug simply because I HATE Shrunk. I have a terrible fear of snakes and the thought of that movie still scares me! Anything is better than that! :scared:

I love A Bug's Life it is my fav Pixar movie so naturally I picked that show. I hate snakes so i am not a fan of the Honey one.
