Previously on The Shutterbugs:
The Evil Trio that are Kelvin, Cindy and Sam split from the Daring Duo that are Karen and Rob.
While the Trio spent a slow and unhurried day in MGM, the Duo spent the day at Epcot's World Showcase.
But their paths shall cross again for a great, family feast.

Now now our feature presentation:

After Sam defeated the Sudoku puzzle she was working on and everyone was freshened up, the recently reunited Party of Five played Musical Transportation Systems. Starting with the bus to Magic Kingdom and then the monorail, they slowly but surely made their way to the Polynesian.
Once there, they and their hungry stomachs made a bee-line to 'Ohana. But 'Ohana presented them a challenge: they had to wait until their table was ready. Could they stand it? Would their starving stomachs be able to make it?
Yeah, it was only about a ten minute wait.
They were quickly escorted to a table to the left and near the back, close to windows overlooking the Seven Seas Lagoon and the glorious sight that was Cinderella's castle. Their waitress, and sweet and bubbly girl named Jia, or Pia, or something with an -ia, explained the meaning of 'Ohana in an accent so thick, that everyone was saying "Huh?" when she was finished. No worries. We got the gist.
Before you could say "Aloha", our drinks were delivered, and even faster after that, wontons and salad. So far, the meal couldn't get any better for the Party of Five and they were only on starters.
Outside, dark clouds were beginning to move in and soon, the rain rain rain came down down down. And down and down. Harder and harder. It was extremely peaceful. Being from the sunny state of Texas, the Cindy, Kelvin and Sam really enjoyed it. It wasn't stormy, just a steady rain.
By now, they had gotten their delicious shrimp and chicken wings. They could only imagine what was yet to come...
Well, I'll tell you
The best scalloped potatoes, chicken, steak, turkey and sausage they had ever eaten. It just kept coming and coming. Food was always in piles on their plates. It was quite overwhelming for the Fab Five.
They were so full, that dessert was the farthest thing from their mind. And then low and behold there it was in all its caramelly goodness.
Not even the bill could dampen their spirits. Everyone was very very (I mean VERY) full after the feast, but all were glowing. Cindy and Sam got so excited, that they decided to go to the Magic Kingdom, tourist cattle or not.
They thought their evening coulnd't get more perfect, but it did. Because of the rain, large groups of Crowd Cows were leaving the Magic Kingdom! Kelvin decided he was too full so he went back to the room, but Cindy and Sam were too excited to go back. It was around 6:30, the evening had just begun.
First thing they needed to do was have their stomachs settle a little, so naturally, they headed straight for Pirates of the Caribbean. There was a non-existent wait. They decided to be a little more daring and went on Splash Mountain. About a ten minute wait. By now, their tummies were fine and Big Thunder was the next ride to conquer. 5 minute wait. If that.
Tomorrowland beckoned them, so they hopped aboard the train, got off at Toontown and then went down a nearly empty path to Tomorrowland. Space Mountain seemed to be the place where everyone was going, but they rode it on Tuesday, so they didn't feel the need to ride it. The got Fastpasses for Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, which was in the next 30 minutes, so they went to Monster Inc Laugh Floor. Oh goodness...
Poor Cindy got picked on.
Bless her heart.
Sam was curled up on the floor laughing as Cindy was put on the spot.
Their time for Buzz rolled around, and within the first few minutes of the ride, Sam had 100,000 points. (See "Mini Miracles" for more details)
Coming to the conclusion that the rain would probably cancel Fantasy in the Sky, Cindy and Sam thought it would be fun to go back to MGM for EMH. And here is where their tragic tale begins.
Around 9:00: Cindy and Sam leave the park and head to the bus stop. They discover that there is no bus to any other park. They then head for the monorail.
9:10: The monorail stops at the Contemporary and Cindy and Sam spontaneously get off there instead of the TTC
9:20: Sam and Cindy are still wandering around the Contemporary looking for the bus stop.
9:24: Sam and Cindy swallow their pride and ask for help.
9:26: Sam and Cindy find the bus stop and sit on a bench.
9:45: They're still waiting for a bus.
Around 10:00: Sam and Cindy finally board a bus, a very crowded bus. They stand.
10:07: Sam and Cindy get weird stares from people as they laugh for no reason because of pure exhaustion.
10:13: Sam and Cindy discover that the bus is going to make two more stops and decide it's not worth it. They get off at the Polynesion.
10:14: Sam asks Cindy: "Now what?"
10:15: Cindy replies: "Downtown Disney". It's still raining.
10:25: A bus for Downtown Disney arrives and they board.
From there on, it's a blur, but they finally got back to the room around 11:15.
And so ends "An Exciting Evening with Cindy and Sam".

And now Thoughts of the Day with Yours Truly:
'Ohana: I cannot say enough good things about 'Ohana. Food was amazing. Service was excellent. That was the highlight of the trip. Awesome.
Yay! We finally went to a park where there wasn't a bunch of Tourist Cattle. Me and my mom's evening at MK was great. The rain had died down to a light drizzle and the lines were short. I couldn't believe the short line for BTMRR. We walked right on. Same with PotC.
As for our Post-MK Adventure, well... I have to say, that is the dumbest thing we've ever done in Disney World. First, we think we can handle MGM EMH after such a busy day. Then, we get off at the Contemporary, which we've only been inside once (not including passing through on the monorail), and get lost. Then we think it's best to transfer buses to Downtown Disney when we're already on a bus! We were really tired...
Overall: Fabulous day. Even though we wasted a ton of time there in the end, my mom and I were laughing so hard, that it didn't really matter. We were very punchy.

And now the premiere of "Mini Miracles"
Kelvin didn't get sick after eating so much food
Lines in MK were short.
Sam actually got more than 1000 point on Buzz Lightyear. (I'm soooooo bad at it, but I got super lucky this time)
Cindy was picked on Monster Inc (she never gets picked; unfortunately, this time, she was picked to be picked on)
Sam and Cindy only got lost in the Contemporary for 20 minutes!

Here's a look at what's to come:
The Evil Trio go to a movie
Sam: "I'm confused"
Cindy: "This is weird"
Kelvin: "This is stupid"

Stay tuned!

I feel your pain with the bus mis hap. I remember back in January we were at the Magic Kingdom and wanted to get to Downtown Disney. To our dismay, no direct bus, but were told to take the Monorail to the Contemporary Resort and then a bus from there. We got off the monorail and had no idea how to get to the busses, then we weren't sure if we were even at the bus stop because it looked so different than the bus stop at our resort, then the multiple resort stops before getting onward to Downtown Disney, oh my.

So glad you enjoyed your dinner. Fantastic views, food, and company, what could be better? And no huge herds of tourist cattle that evening, what a miracle indeed! Congrats on the Buzz Lightyear score. DH got picked at the Monsters Inc. show too, ha. Thanks for the report!

^ Aww.

I don't understand why they can't have buses to other parks without having to transfer. I could have sworn you could before. Also, we had to listen to the new bus spiels an ungodly amount of times. Fortunately, we were still on a high from our awesome evening to care.

I wish they would set up a bus to downtown disney at night when parks are closing. I have found this to be the longest trip.
