Late checkout?

Our flight has been bumped from an early afternoon flight leaving Orlando to a 7pm flight leaving Orlando. Bummer, I know, but it does pose a problem for our two year old daughter of when she'll be able to take her nap. Is there anything the resorts can do for a situation like this, or are we going to be pushing her around in a stroller to somewhere air conditioned that she can sleep?

You can ask about late check-out. If it's available, they'll let you stay until 1pm with no additional charge. The problem is, that you have to wait until the day before and call either housekeeping or the front desk to enquire about the availability.

A second option is to call the Hyatt at the airport. They have day rooms available between 10am and 3pm. It's located conveniently within the airport.

It they don't let you have late check out, you can always hang out in a quiet corner of the hotel, in the a/c so she can sleep in her stroller.
Or even sit in one of the restaurants for a long lunch.

We always do late check out and haven't had a problem. They are very accomodating. Just explain your situation, it may carry and extra charge but is well worth it.
