When: May 31 – June 4
Pre-Trip: This trip almost didn’t happen. We thought about taking a quick weekend trip in early June but some circumstances arose in our personal life which caused us to make the decision to can the trip. However, some good changes in our personal life ensued. Then some relatively cheap airfare was found so we put the trip back on the map.
Plans for this trip include a stay in a Studio at Old Key West for four nights. We’ve never even visited this resort. We’re quite interested in what our experience will be as we’ve been tossing around (in a very preliminary way) whether we’d like to become a vacation club owner.
Our flight down is scheduled for a 6:30 a.m. departure out of Manchester so we should arrive early enough to enjoy the parks on our travel day. Our flight home leaves at 5:30 in the afternoon which should give us some park time on our departure day.
We plan to visit each park during our stay. We’re looking forward to the Flower and Garden Festival and our first taste of a Star Wars weekend.
In January, we activated annual passes so we don’t have any additional expense for tickets. We also have the Disney Dining Experience Card which should help save some money.
I planned to get up super early and drive directly to the airport the morning of our flight but DH wanted to stay at the airport hotel the night before so I booked a one-night stay at the Highlander Inn. This will be our second visit to this spot.
Surprisingly, I was able to get all the dining reservations I wanted – including a time at Le Cellier.
