This Thursday we dine with the princesses at Akershus.

In understand part of how long we'll be in the restaurant is driven by how we take both with eating and visiting with the princesses.

How long does this meal usually take once you're seated?

We've only done breakfast so this is a guess. I would say you would need somewhere around 1 hr for the average family from the time you are seated, of course longer if you eat slowly. The Princesses seem to round fairly quickly and once the first one arrives, they all follow very soon behind. If you are taking that adorable niece of yours (and I assumed you are), she might love dressing up as a favorite Princess - our DD's always take clothes and change so they don't have to wear the costume all day. There is a photo op with one Princess as you enter the restaurant - a Photopass photog takes your picture and they bring the package to your table during your meal for your review and purchase - of course, you are not obligated to buy. This pic will not be scanned to your Photopass card but they will use your personal camera to take a picture as well. Have a great time!

Actually, when we went to get out PhotoPass CD at GF on our last day, the CM making it was showing someone else their pictures and they did have the pictures from Akershus on there so we asked about it (because we would have loved to have those precious Ariel pictures on there!) and we were told that they can put the pictures on your PhotoPass and she did not know why they don't tell people that. She also said she would have been able to do it too if we had had the receipt from the ones we did buy because there is a code on the receipt that they could enter and pull them into the card. Of course we had packed up that morning and all our luggage was back at Pop so we did not get the pics on our disc! So, make sure you ask about it!

But other than that, we did dinner back in the end of November and i would say it took us about 2 hours total. It was not crowded at all but unlike breakfast where it is served family style, you do order from a small menu. We did get lots of time with the princesses (Aurora -in pink, Belle -in blue, Esmirelda, and Jasmine) even seconds and thirds for some of them. We did not linger but we did not rush either.

We loved our meal, all of us - even DH and DS!

27 more days!

We have did this dinner twice and each time it took us about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes. It was well worth every penny and every minute.
