Two counter service restaurants at two different parks. Which do you prefer: Epcot's Electric Umbrella or Magic Kingdom's Cosmic Ray's?

Y100Q45 is next, appearing in Vacation Planning, probably on Friday...

It's been a while since I've been to either, but I voted for Cosmic Ray's. If I'm going to eat at EPCOT it's going to be over in WS.

I eat @ Cosmic Rays most often simply b/c we start in Adventureland and often find ourselves there for a late lunch. I too think that if I'm having a CS in EPCOT the electric umbrella isn't my first choice.

I chose Cosmic Rays. I think that they have more choices for a counter serivce restaurant. Plus the entertainment keeps the kids busy a little longer. We tend to go to Pinocchio's Village Haus for the same reason, we sit at the table overlooking It's a Small World and the kids wave at the boats going by.

Definitely Cosmic Rays-- love the chicken. Electric Umbrella is ok, but nothing special.

We were surprised by the amount of choices at Cosmic Ray's. My bf got the roast chicken/mashed potatoes/rib platter... don't think you can get that at E.U.

We ate pizza a The Electric Umbrella once and it was not good. We've never been to Cosmic Ray's but we're going to try it on our next trip. The menu looks a little more interesting than other CS places.

Another Cosmic Ray's vote here. There's more choice at CR and, as someone else said, if I'm in Epcot I'm much more likely to go to World Showcase or even the Land.

For those of you in Sonny withdraw, go to that infamous file sharing site with a "You" in it. search on Sonny Eclipse. Nice litle video of his set.

Electric Umbrella is great! But I had to vote for Cosmic Rays. It is in the MK. It has a great variety of good food, and it has Sonny Eclipse! Gotta love those Yew Norkers!!!!:mickey:

My family never eats at Electric Umbrella, always opting for Sunshine Seasons.

I chose Cosmic Ray, his crooning makes the joint jump and jive. Besides :secret: if we were at Epcot we would head to World Showcase or more likely the Boardwalk area to grab CS anyway. Play on Ray!:cool:

Cosmic Ray's al lthe way. The food is much better and who can beat the entertainment. Such variety for your CS credits. I have never really liked the Electric Umbrella, especially when you compare it to all of the food options available in Epcot!

I'll be the different one of the group, I love the Electric Umbrella! To sit in there and watch the Epcot Fountain and listen to the music playing with it, I don't think any other counter service could be any more relaxing. Cosmic Rays always seem to be overly crowded and Sonny Eclipse gets old to me after the first 6 times I hear the same jokes, year after year after year. Sorry guys :ack:!

For some strange reason, we ended up twice at Electric Umbrella in November... but I much rather prefer Cosmic Ray's. I think CR has better variety and you can't beat the entertainment. And there are so many better CS in Epcot!

Cosmic Rays -love the choices and Sonny. My DH got:sick::ack: after eating cheesecake at EU-never again! But I've gotta see Sonny each trip!

Cosmic Rays because the chicken is heavenly after eating hamburgers and hot dogs one too many days. Caseys if you need a hot dog, which most kids do.

well the one thing i like about electric umbrella is the free refills on sodas. that is definitely something that WDW should have resort wide.
