Everytime I ride, I see those metal chains that the safari trucks run over at nearly every other turn. Is there any particular reason those are there. Does anyone know?

Those are called cattle guards and they are used to help keep the animals separated:thumbsup:

most animals, if not all, will not cross over the chains, which keeps them in there area. On the farm we would use wood slates on there ends over a ditch. You could drive your car through but the cattle would not cross. it is the same principle

Chains are scary....

Simple, effective way to keep the critters from crossing the line.

The chains, steel grates, and the electrified "plants" are used often throughout the ride. And then there's always the walls and moats. Many of the ways they keep the different animals from getting places they don't want them.
