Making ADR's tomorrow so trying to finalize my list. Looking for comments on Planet Hollywood. Thanks.

Planet Hollywood's ok. They have pretty much the same stuff as the other Planet Hollywoods - a TGI Friday's or Chili's board of fare. It doesn't make any "best of" lists but everything's edible.

The atmosphere is fun (and loud).

The food....

not what it used to be.

Worth one visit for the atmosphere and to see all the cool stuff. Beyond that

We like to go there for the atmosphere. The food is fine, it's pretty much standard stuff that you can get anywhere.

There are lots of interesting movie artifacts to look at, so if you are in to that, it is worth a trip. The food leaves a lot to be desired, so we go there for drinks and appetizers.

The atmosphere is pretty cool, but I prefer more Disney-esque places, since there are PHs in other cities. This has nothing to do with the food, but last year, some of our party went there to use their AAA voucher and when the waitress brought the check, she told them, "I'm really sorry, but I lost your voucher, so I have to charge you for your meal" :(

Yes, I agree with many of you. The food is ordinary and the atmosphere is a bit overwhelming with the tight spaces and noise. It is not as much of a Disney experience as many others. I suppose the fact that it is other places in the U.S. does not make it as special. The food is not bad, but it has nothing to set it apart. Enjoy your trip!:mickey:

Good things: the unique building and movie memorabilia
The rest: Very loud, mediocre service, overpriced food that is easy to get anywhere else, not the cleanest place either

Thanks for all the replies. I made my ADR's today and the res. agent suggested we try Capt. Jack's, so that's what I went with. We're big seafood lovers, so I figured I couldn't go wrong with that. Thanks again for the comments.

Currently PH is under renovation (outside) and is covered in large blue tarps. I guess it was time for a face lift.

Went to PH in 2002 and had a really bad experience. It was really crowded and the service was horrible.

Cap'n Jacks is a good choice. They have some really good crab cakes
