what to see at AKL

Hello:
While we are staying at Pop for our Sept trip, we will be visiting AKL one evening for dinner at Boma. We plan to arrive early enough to check out the resort as we are considering a stay there in the future. Where should we go to get a good feel for AKL? What should we see?

I was wondering the same thing! We're heading to Boma after a day at AK and wanted to wander around and explore the resort. Would love to know what's not to be missed!

Just from personal experience, I would highly recommend you go to the main outdoor viewing area, which is located out the back of the main lobby. It's great viewing during the day, and also at night - they have some night-viewing goggles that are fun. I would also head out to a viewing spot located just on the other side of the pool. Sometimes the animals head there because it's a bit quieter. They also have a larger population of birds.

Also, the gift shop in the main lobby is one of the best shops at Disney - lots of different and interesting stuff.

But by all means, enjoy Boma - it is an amazing dining experience - one of our favorites.
