Year of 100 Questions: #34

Today we get away from the "traditional" resorts and compare two of the DVC resorts that also are available for everyone. Do you prefer: Old Key West or Saratoga Springs?

I made a mistake yesterday and posted Q33 (POTC vs. HM) in Accommodations. It has since been moved to Theme Parks, where it belongs.

Q35 will show up in Dining, most likely on Monday.

I voted Saratoga Springs because the themes are comparable and Saratoga seems more fresh and new.

Key West does have Olivia's Cafe, which I told my daughter was named for her. ;) We might try that next year.

We just loved the look and feel of Saratoga Springs. Had to choose it.

But we can get more room for our points at OKW.

I picked OKW, because my DW and I spent our honeymoon in the real Key West, and we loved it. That's all. I've never stayed at either resort, and I hear SS is much nicer....but my choice is made! :D

SSR, have a biased though, it is our home resort. I loved it when we first toured it, I loved it each time that we have stayed there, and the more they add the more I love it. I will actually miss it in June, when we stay someplace else.

I've never stayed at either, but voted for SSR. It's new and I like the proximity to DTD.

Had to go with Saratoga, since it is my official home away from home. :D

I voted for Saratoga Springs, just because it's newer and I've heard the most about it. I haven't been to either resort.

I voted for OKW. We stayed there in October and loved it. The room was huge.

I voted for my DVC home - SSR. I just love it there. It is so quiet and quaint. Remeniscent of the town itself in my home state.

My parents stayed at OKW when they decided to join the DVC. Mom said the rooms are different and have a little more space.

I like the DVC resorts - less hussle and bustle than the others. And after staying at POP in Feb (President's Weekend - didn't want to use up the points), I thank my parents every day for our investment.

I haven't stayed in either, but I chose SSR because of sentimental value: my first trip to WDW was there when it was the Disney Institute. I also love the location next to DTD.

I love Old Key West. It was my second experience on property and what made my parents decide to join DVC so it's a good thing. I had an entire bedroom all to myself, there was a balcony, I was in Disney nirvana. Love it.
