Filet Mignon seems to be a tough find

I may be wrong but it seems most of the restaurants are going with a N.Y. strip steak as a beef choice now instead of a filet. Did anybody else notice this? Another cost saving effort? I'm not happy!:mad:

What restaurants are doing this? From the recent menus I've seen, it seems that the majority of them offer a filet. In fact, I was just thinking the other day that I can get a filet from practically every non-buffet restaurant that we're going to on our next trip.

You can get great filet at many restaurants- LeCellier, Jiko, and Narcossees to name a few.
I've never had any problems finding filet mignon at WDW.

I had one at Yahtsmans Steakhouse in Dec. (it was tough tough) and I just had one last mont at LeCellier and that one was the best I have ever had. It was so tender it melted in your mouth. I have to thank all these wonderful Intercotees who convinced me to give it a try. It will be on our adr list for every trip from now on.

I do remember that Coral Reef used to have a filet when it was worth two DDP credits. Now that it is a one credit TS they have removed the filet.

Concourse STeakhouse at the Contemporary still has one.

Between DH and myself, we had filet at Le Cellier, Cali Grill, Narcoossee's and Fulton's on our December trip. It was fabulous everywhere.

On our last trip, I had the filet at Le Cellier! I was cranky the rest of the night because I didnt finish it (with all the appetizers, bread etc, i was so full!) But of the 3/4 I ate, it was amazing!
Next year I'm gonna have it again, and eat only that! :number1:

DH loves Filet, and we've found it at lots of restaurants during out WDW trips (Narcosees, Cal. Grill & Le Cellier to name a few)! I would think there are still lots of Filet options!

Ya know, I started this thread and after looking at the menus again, I must have been in the wrong world. I thought sure I saw a lot of places with just NY Strip steaks. OK, my bad.:thumbsup:
