Where do you watch Illuminatons from?

What is your favorite spot to watch Illuminations?

I have only seen it once and it was on The Breathless so we watched it from the water! It was great :thumbsup:

I said Germany because I've only seen illuminations once and that was from Germany. The reason for us going there was because it was the only place open.

I try to get a table at the cantina. if i can't, i crowd in somewhere near the entrance to the world showcase

but you can often get fence-side seating behind the two little stores at the entrance to WS about 30 minutes before showtime!

I like to watch it from the bridge in Mexico (close proximity to margaritas :marg: ) or at the entrance of the WS between those two gift shops.

Had to choose other because Norway is our favorite spot. There is a great little spot near the entrance to Norway which gives a great lagoon view. :fworks:

and last time we spent over an hour at our bench that we "reserved" next to the Cantina. People looked surprised that we wouldn't move (they were showing up right before).

We watched it once from the birthday boat, once from Rose & Crown, and all the other times we usually were in Norway. We have had pretty good luck finding places that are not to crowded and the five of us huddle together so we don't get pushed out of our spot.

I've viewed Illuminations from a lot of spots along the WC lagoon, but my favorite has to be either in America or United Kingdom. When we were eating at the Rose & Crown, my brother was chosen to wave the light stick to start the show. It was really exciting!:thumbsup:

I usually view it from in between the World Showcase entrance and Canada. I find that spot to be just perfect for me. :D

The primo location is definitely the seating-only area on the peninsula at World Showcase Plaza, but they don't open it up until (I think) 30 minutes before the show, it's not opened if the wind is blowing in off the Lagoon, and sometimes they reserve it for corporate parties (I hate that!:mad:).

i watch it several times each trip.
my fav spot is on the balcony in Japan, right outside the lounge. or inside the lounge thru the window w sake and sushi.
then can either exit Int Gateway or casually stroll to the main entrance after some of the crowd has gone.

As some have mentioned. The pavillion area just past the bridge between France and England. Absolutely perfect. But, if it is closed. I like that bridge.

Either Mexico or American Adventure. It depends on the crowds and how early I can get a good spot!

i try to get a spot between england and france...kinda by the bridge where it goes down...im sure all you people know what im talking about lol...that or sometimes i try around italy...:mickey:

I always pick a spot just over the bridge from Future World to World Showcase that is in between the two stores there. You get a great view of the show from there and it is a big enough area so you do not have to arrive super early.

I chose other...my favorite spot to watch Illuminations is from the Breathless, or since I think that is under rehab still, from an Illuminations boat cruise. Lovely.

well this has become tradition for us, after a delicious meal we head over to Italy (World Cup Champs) and we find a nice spot on the steps directly across, we've been going to that same spot now everytime that we go down. we feel that this is the prime spot to be in ,but then again, it's tradition.

For some reason, we always tend to migrate down around Canada or the entrance to WS, but I'm looking forward to watching from the other side of the lagoon in about a month. :thumbsup:

We like the bridge between UK and France. Our little ones think it's too loud, so we've also sat along the fences in Canada (near the garden). We can't see what's on the water, but the boys didn't mind so much!

We 've viewed Illuminations from several different locales. I can say that the best view we've every had was lagoon-side seating @ the Rose & Crown. The deck outside the store in Japan (facing the lagoon) is another excellent vantage point, the bridge going to France, The cantina lagoon-side in Mexico, the area directly in front of WS (across from American Adventure, anywhere along the promenade is great, as long as you're not standing behind someone very tall.:thumbsup:
