What time of year do they normally release AP rates for August? Thanks

The bigger question is IF, of course.

Look at the historical discounts on this site for details, but here's a few:

In 2004, they released 7/5-8/28 on 5/5, which has already passed.

In 2005, they released 7/5-8/27 on 5/4, which has also already passed. They also released 8/28-10/4 on 6/1.

In 2006, they moved things back a bit. Released 8/6-8/26 on 6/8 and 8/27-9/30 on 7/12.

So, there's still some hope...just don't bet your life on it.

Still educating myself... What is AP rate?
Should I be hoping for a discount on my already booked trip for 8/5-8/14?
I LOVE this place... I've learned lots!
Thanks,

Thanks,

The AP rate is a "room-only" rate given to Annual Passholders. If you're not an AP holder and the AP rates, if they come out, are really good (sometimes $100 off a deluxe), it might be worth it to you to buy an AP just to get the rate, since it looks like you'll be there 9 nights.

As far as discounts for 8/5-14, they probably won't be steep. Early August is still prime summertime. Discounts are harder to come by....but always keep looking...you never know.

Okay thanks,
I paid 320.00 for 10 days of the parks & water parks too. I don't think I'll be back within a year. The AP passes are 462.00.
Not something I would benefit from.
Thanks for the info.

Since you already bought your tickets, it probably isn't an issue, but, if you're in a deluxe, the AP rates *can* be as much as $100 off a night. Over 9/10 nights that can easily cover the cost of one AP (remember, you'd only need to buy one AP). However, I should also point out that sometimes not too long after the AP rates come out, a general public rate comes out. It won't be as good as the AP rate, but is still a discount.

I would add that you are only looking at an extra $142 to buy one annual pass (unless you need a premium pass for the water parks, DQ, etc.). However, if you are staying 9 nights and can save even $30 per night, you will save money. And that's extra money in your pocket for whatever you need. We have done this on at least two occasions. Reply if you still have some questions about it. I believe you can upgrade a ticket if need be.
