Doing the happy dance!!!!!

You know those times when something big in your life happens and other good things follows? I'm having one of those weeks. As some of you know I was having trouble with banks and getting a pre-approved mortgage--getting a run around. Well, Saturday we put our down payment on our new house and will be moving March of '08.

It gets even better, last night when my DH got home from work, he informed me that a job he had applied for a while back came through and he'll be beginning his new job in a month(he wanted to give his current employer some time to find someone to replace him). He just has to pick up his letter of employment tonight after work. With this new job he'll be making what we make right now with our combined wages. So this is really great because I really didn't want to move our old furniture into our new house and was getting down because I wasn't sure if I'd get enough money saved before the move!!:mickey:

My DD graduates from college on Sat. so we're flying down to Iowa for that on Friday. What's really great about all this is that my DD wants to spend the whole weekend with us. She wants us to go to the casino with her on Friday night, Sat. is her graduation and Sunday she wants us to go shopping with her. My DD and I had a difficult time when she was growing up. To make a long story short, when she was 16 she decided to move back to Iowa with her father because she didn't like my DH's(her stepfather) and my rules(dad didn't have any rules). So it's been a long road to get to this point(she's always called me when she needed help with $$, problems and just needing to talk, but we never had a really close mother-daughter connection<her part not mine>).

Anyway, I just had to share my incredible week with you!!!!!!

Mother-daughter or Father-daughter relationships can be very tough when it comes to getting remarried. It doesn't matter what the age of the daughter is. This is wonderfull news.:thumbsup:

Of course it has a guest room!!!! It has 3 bedrooms and a home office..the home office is my scrapbooking studio and 1 bedroom is my quilting studio!!!! The Dh is trying to figure what space is his!!!!:D

It's really nice when we can see things when they go right, and realize how lucky we are when they don't or we don't realize it. For the most part, the last 8 years I've been pretty lucky, its just the last few monthes things have been going downhill. I'm happy to going back up now!!!
