So in our reservations we'd initally said we wanted to be in the Springs area for proximity to the pool. We're now wondering about the new grandstand area? I've seen posts about the pool in Grandstands being a themed pool that is very nice and less busy I would assume. We're traveling with a 4.5 year old and a 2.5 year old. I'm wondering whether the slide at the springs is appropriate for a 4 yr old? If not, is there anything else at the main pool that would make it a better choice for us? If its quieter in Grandstands and the pool is just as good, maybe we'll request there instead. Also, how far of a walk is it to the lobby and main pool from Grandstands? Where do the new building fix into the bus stop route? TIA! 10 days and counting :mickey: :woohoo:

I believe that the Gandstand section is one of the first stops on the bus route. That means that you would then travel to all the other stops before leaving for the parks. On the plus side, at night, you're one of the first ones off.

From the grandstand area it's maybe a 3 minute walk to the main lobby. The main pool is almost right outside the side door of the main lobby, close to the restaurant there (I'm sorry, the name escapes me).
I took some photos of the new pool, it's really neat. Here's a link:

I think the first 3 or 4 shots are of the main pool. The rest are of the new pool area.

Here's a map of property also. It'll show the proximity of everything:
