How close are SSR and OKW?

We are staying at OKW and BIL & SIL are staying at SSR. How close are we. Can we walk between the two?:mickey:

Not sure about the walk.
There is a boat which brings guests from OKW to SSR and then on to DTD. It does the exact route in reverse, so travelling between the two resorts would be easy.

From OKW to SSR via the boat, it would be about 10 minutes (not including the wait for the boat! ;) )

Do a google search for denise's fitness blog. The person that created the site documents and takes pictures of all of the walking paths in WDW. She recently just featured the walk between OKW and SSR. I never knew you could walk between the two. It seems like it is long walk though...over 20 minutes.

There is a walking/jogging trail from the back end of OKW to SSR and DTD. It's a really nice path, but a pretty long walk. It's mostly along the water and the golf course. If you enjoy walking, I'd recommend it. But the boat idea might be better. It's also a very nice boat ride. From the entrance of OKW to the entrance of SSR, it is probably less than 2 miles.

The resorts are just down the road or river - which ever way you want to go. Both resorts are close to DTD - you may want to both travel to DTD then take a bus to a nearby resort so you can travel together to some of the parks. So take the bus to the Grand Floridian and then jump on the Monorail to MK or the bus to the Boardwalk and then the boat to EPCOT or MGM. This might take a little longer to get to the parks but you will travel together!
