December discounts?

Well, we are booked for 2ND week in December at POP. YEAH!! I understand it is somewhat of a slow time. A family member is going in September with the free dining plan. Has Disney offered this or other great discounts in December? I know it's a wait and see game, but I CAN'T WAIT, and no one here want to talk about it AGAIN..... When Disney has these type offers is it better to be in a moderate vs value? Or more rooms alloted where they need to get more reservations? I have complete faith in our MJ rep. to get us what is out there, but it's kind of nice talking about it to people that know, care, and understand.

If you go here (http://intercot.com/infocentral/discounts/historicdiscounts.asp) you can see the historic discounts. The only discounts we took advantage of were AP room only discounts. That's not to say they hadn't offered others at that time.
