ADR's in September, Problem/No Problem

Well, after hearing of fears that it would be nearly impossible to get any of the reservations you want in September because of the demand created by the Free Dining Package......

I called this morning and got 3 out of 4 first choices, had to "settle" for one second choice. So, at least from my experience, NO PROBLEM.

Here's what I got...

Friday 9/21- Biergarten @ 5:30 (1st choice)

Saturday 9/22 - Kona Cafe' @ 5:30 (2nd choice - wanted Concourse Steakhouse but couldn't get in until 7..not bad, but I'd like to catch Spectro at 8)

Sunday 9/23 - Boma at 5:40 (1st choice) may switch to Wolfgang Puck's at 5:30 if DW goes with us, she like that better. And YES, I'll cancel the one we decide not to use as soon as I know.

Monday 9/24 - 50's Prime Time Cafe @ 4:55 (1st choice - but would have rather had 5:30).

So, all in all, we got what we wanted. So, at least of us, the Free DDP did not cause an availability problem.

I believe the fact that you wanted to eat dinner at early hours helped you a lot.
People trying to dine at 6:30-8:00-ish are having the most diffuclties.
We like to have dinner early too- so we rarely have too much trouble making our ADRs.

I booked all of my ADRs already too and got every one I wanted, I also changed up my times too, to make a variety and such; so this will be great!!!

I also did not have any problems getting my ADR's for September. We got all our choices, no problem. We usually eat dinner around the 5-5:30 mark anyway. I hated to do later because of the parks closing earlier that time of year. I did not want to spend my last few hours eating. I figured we can always jump over to Epcot since they will be open till 9. Glad you got everything you wanted! Have a great trip!

I had already booked my Sept trip planning on going free dinning or not, so I did hurry up and book my ADR's last week when I heard the free dining was coming out - - kinda like avoiding the Christmas rush :blush: .

Had no problems getting what I needed....here's to hoping I don't change my mind :) .

We like the 6:00 time frame so we can relax at the resort or wherever until dinnertime without cutting anything short and we pretty much got everything we wanted. We're thrilled to be done with it, to have a set plan. I'd hate to think what would happen if I didn't know about Intercot and to make ADRs this much in advance. We'd be sunk for sure! :rocks:

I only had to switch 2 nights for the restaurants we wanted. We even got CRT for breakfast for the first time since we've been going. My DD is now 13 but we'll have fun anyway!

glad it doesnt sound bad, as i havent started my ADRs for free dining yet, still debating where.

No problems here either except having to go with my second choice of dates for the Hoop-Dee-Do which really isn't a problem.

I got all but one of my time choices, and these are all with a party of 9. I did cheat a little and made my ADR's in anticipation of the free dining news.:secret:

9/21 - 1900 Park Fare (GF Cafe) 7 pm
9/22 - Hollywood & Vine 11:55 am
9/23 - Crystal Palace 4:50 pm ---this one I tried for 6 pm, but this was the closest they could get us
9/24 - Boma 6 pm
9/25 - Akerhaus 11:55 am
9/26 - Garden Grill 6 pm
9/27 - O'hana 10:30 am
9/28 - Marrakesh 6 pm

Can you tell that we've got a couple of little ones with us ?:thumbsup:
