I was thinking about the days when the All-Stars rooms were $49.00 then $55.00 and then they went to $69.00 and you could get a Deluxe for $114.00 :mickey:

That's exactly why we joined DVC. It froze the room cost for us for the future.

The year I finished 8th grade the 1 bedroom treehouse villas went over $100 a night, rack.

We did one week at the tree houses and then one week in the trailers at Fort Wilderness. I can still remember my Aunt and I standing in the closet reading the rack rate/terms of use sheet. She was telling me that the 2 week vacations would probably be a thing of the past so we should *REALLY* enjoy that one.

and parking was $5, and park hopping was free, and water was cheaper than soda ...

I remember when it was more about the guest and the magic and less about the bottom line! Magic Kingdom had special MK shirts that you could only get there. Same with the other parks. Now I hear they are phasing out the resort refillable mugs and selling the same ones at all of the resorts. We always look forward to going to a different resort to get their mug.Oh well.:(
Don't get me wrong, I still want to be at Disney as much as possible but the magic is beginning to fade slightly.
