I have two questions on annual passes:

1. The WDW website says it is good for 365 days. What happens in a leap year (2008) -- is it 365 or the anniversary date of the pass? (For us, the beginning of our 2007 trip and the end of our 2008 trip will be 366 days apart due to leap year so we could be 1 day short if it is truely 365 days.)

2. A WDW telephone rep told me that there is a 30 day grace period to renew annual passes and during that time you can still use the pass to gain park admission. Does anyone know if it is true? It seems unlikely to me.

Thanks for the help!

Your AP is good for one year from date of activation. For example, you activate your AP on April 10, 2007; it's good until April 10, 2008.

As for your second question, I know you have 30 days to renew, but I don't think you have access to parks without a valid park pass.

Yes, the pass is good for one year from the activation date. It is not tracked by actual days in the year. And the grace period is strictly for getting the renewal discount. Your pass expires on the date shown on the pass (one year from activation) but you have an extra 30 days to renew it at the discounted price.

There has been some conflicting information as to whether Disney still gives you a 30-day grace period to renew your pass or if you need to renew before your expiration date. In any case, the renewal gives you a discount on the price of an annual pass when you renew.

Once your pass is expired, it can no longer be used to gain access to the parks.

I think in the example above (April 10), the pass would be good from April 10, 2007 through April 9, 2008 (not April 10).

Thanks everyone for the help. I think I'm set.
