Do any adults out there get autographs from the characters or do just your kids do this?

I've seen adults do this too. I haven't, but I have gotten pix with characters. (not exactly a kid, but I act like one sometimes!)

I get autographs and I'm 34

I thought that it would be difficult, like they wouldn't want to give you the time if you were an adult, but I've found they are as accomodating as if you were a little kid (some of us more than others!) Go for it!!

I and my DW are both 40+ and we get the autographs every trip. We usually like to get the books with the place to mount the pictures as well. My next goal is to fill a picture/autograph book with nothing but pictures of Donald.

I am 23 and still get Autographs.

In fact, I got a "Chip" Autograph, and when i went back to get it again later, it was the same "Chip" because I wore my Edmonton Oilers Jersey, and he must have recognized me because I kep trying to get the darn guy to sign my book and he kept ignoring me. :( I'm sure he recognized me, by my clothes. But I still got the Autograph!

I totally get autographs still! My fiance and I make sure we have our pictures taken with as many characters as we can. We also do character buffets so we can experience things just like little kids. We're very playful with the characters and it really helps to put you in the Disney mood. I still blush everytime I see my childhood crush, Max Goof:blush:

When I went on my first trip in 2000,I was 19. My first priority was to buy the autograph book and get as many autographs as possible. I thought it was a little silly at first but I thought, hey, it's my first Disney trip, everyone goes to DIsney to meet the characters and get pics and autographs, so why not? My best friend (who had been to DW 50 times and has seen all of the characters, mind you) was sweet enough to treat me to a character dinner at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian (go there, yum!!!) since I was on a mission to get as many autographs are possible. And I must say,I was not disappointed. I got MInnie, Mickey, Goofy, Donald, Chip, Dale, to name a few. Also, I had my waiter at 1900 Park Fare sign my book, since he was such a great waiter and a nice guy. Now, I have been to DW three times since then and did not get a book because I thought, that was a one time deal, I'm a grown woman, whatever. However, that "grown woman" act stops the minute I step into that park and I magically become 7 years old (well, I am convinced I have a 7-year-old soul anyway). I would say, go for it! Buy a book and a fat pen (so it is easy for the characters to hold) and go to town!!

There's a lot of us adults that love the characters as much if not more than the kids!! I see lots of folks getting autographs and photos with their faves. ( Me included!) Don't be scared to join the fun!!:mickey:

My wife and I get autographs, we alternate between who is taking the picture and who is getting the autograph.

I am not opposed to it, but I don't because it takes long enough letting my three children get them. I have to admit that I do have a soft spot for getting my picture taken with the characters, though!

Well, i'm 21 now but through all my years of going to disney I get autohraphs. These past few years what i've been doing is I get postcards for all my friends back home that are younger then me, that haven't been to disney yet, and I get them all sign for them. I even get a postcard for myself. lol :secret:

I've only been to Disney once, but I was 21 when I went and I stood in every line with my best friend who was 20 and we got autographs. We made sure to move along quickly though in order for the other kids waiting to get their time with the characters!

My DH is our family's character finding leader!:mickey: I think the characters are more fun for the adults!!

My sister is 18 and one of the things she is most excited about is character autographs, especially Mickey! :mickey2: I am planning on getting them, too, and I'm 25. Our Mom is going along and it was her idea for each of us to pick a character meal with our favorite characters! I think we are looking forward to autographs more now than on our last trip when my sister was smaller and a little timid about going up to the characters! :goofy:

I leave the autographs to my kids. ;)

But....I always get in the pics with them and my favorite characters!! I try and drag DH into some of them too. So much fun!!:mickey:

I've done something similar to this...

If I know of a friend or family member that is having a birthday around the time of my trip, I will get a birthday card and have a character sign it for them.

One year, our pastor was having cancer surgery while we were in WDW, so I got a get well card and had as many characters sign it as I could.

Other than that, I myself don't stop for autographs...just my daughter.

Maybe it was because Chip is really a Dallas Stars fan. :D

Why were you trying to get him to sign your book a second time? If a character sees their signature in a book already they're supposed to try and avoid signing again unless the guest absolutly insists upon it. A lot of times there are older kids and adults who just want to see you sign again so they can compare signatures and confirm that it was two different people doing the signing based on differences in the autograph.
