The Great Movie Ride

Inside the famous Chinese Theater landmark, take a spectacular journey into the all-time, best movies ever made: Alien, The Wizard of Oz, Casablanca and Raiders of the Lost Ark, to name a few. Be prepared for some neat special effects and for the driver/tour guide of your car to change at some point during the ride (we won't give away why...).

The pre-show and post-show have recently been changed and updated by the new sponsor, Turner Classic Movies. Classic movie clips now play during both.  The queue funnels guests through a large theater while trailers of famous movies play on the screen in front of you. You will then board a large, train-like ride vehicle that will move slowly through scenes from a somewhat random selection of movies. The movies range from classics such as Singin' in the Rain and Casablanca, to colorful musicals such as Mary Poppins and Wizard of Oz, to a truly frightening scene right out of Alien. The ride takes a turn at one point, leading guests in one of two possible directions: a Gangster or Western Shoot Out, where your driver becomes part of the live action. While this ride doesn't have a height requirement, it may frighten young children.
