Kilimanjaro Safaris FastPass+ Enabled Attraction

Safari

Aboard Kilimanjaro Safaris, guests can explore 110 acres of savanna, forest, rivers and rocky hills. Bouncing across the rugged terrain in an open-sided safari vehicle, guests will experience up-close encounters with great herds of animals roaming the land. This 20 minute safari is narrated by your driver, who will give a brief explanation and safety spiel before embarking on your adventure. As you are seated, you will see plates mounted on the seatbacks in front of you. These plates have photos and descriptions of the animals you may see during the ride. Some animals you may encounter include: zebras, antelopes, elephants, crocodiles, hippos, warthogs, rhinos, lions, cheetahs, flamingos, giraffes, and more! Often, the ride vehicle will have to stop and wait for an animal to cross its path. But, don't worry, the animals that are able approach the vehicle are harmless. Keep your camera at the ready because you never know when you will have a perfect photo opportunity.

caution.gif (615 bytes) INTERCOT Alert: This ride, although slow moving, is rather bumpy. Riders can expect to be jostled around quite a bit. It is not recommended for pregnant women, very small babies, or any guest with back or neck problems.

Intercot Tip: The best time to ride the safari is in the very early morning hours, before it gets too hot, just after a rainstorm, or in the evening close to sunset. This is when the animals will be most active and easy to spot.
