This New England-esque resort lies back to back with the Beach Club and is within walking distance of Epcot Center and Disney's Boardwalk. Combined, the resorts house 1213 spacious rooms. The resort offers one of the most interesting pools of the Walt Disney World Resorts, Stormalong Bay. The pool includes sandy bottoms, water jets that bubble up around you, and quicksand like areas, where you seem to sink into the bottom of the pool. It also has an incredible waterslide that flows out of an old shipwreck.

Accommodations:

Size of Rooms: 400 square feet

Number of beds: two queen-sized beds (483) or one king-sized bed (56) and 10 disabled-accessible rooms.

Features of Room: Nightstand, refrigerator, a table with 3 chairs, an armoire, a TV, a small safe, a mini-bar, an iron and ironing board, hair dryer, make-up mirror and coffee maker.

Bathroom: Double marble sinks in a vanity area separate from the tub and toilet

Balcony: Yes ... and most ground level rooms have patios.

Occupancy: Some rooms offer a daybed with a maximum five-person occupancy per room. If there are more than 2 adults in a room, there is an additional charge of $25 per adult, per night.

Extras: Some of the suites include a lavishly furnished sitting room area and separate bedroom with a king sized bed. The large bathroom includes a Jacuzzi tub, a vanity area, a television and a walk-in shower. Garden View rooms have a view of the courtyards and quiet pool areas. The water view rooms overlook Crescent Lake and the Boardwalk. Standard rooms offer a view of wooded areas or the parking lot.

Suites: 20 suites are available.

Concierge: Concierge rooms are located on the 5th floor and are accessible with a room key card. Rooms includes robes, television speaker in bath area, hair dryer, make-up mirror, deluxe turndown service, continental breakfast, afternoon snacks, and evening cheese bar with wine and cordials. Hours: 5:30PM - 10:00PM
Meals: Dinner
Range of food: Prime cuts of aged beef such as Prime Rib, Filet Mignon, and Porterhouse steak, and Chateaubriand for two. Chicken, chops, lobster, tuna, and mahi mahi.

Ale & Compass Lounge
Hours: 6AM - 7:30 AM (coffee & tea only)
4PM - 12AM (full service bar)

Crew's Cup Lounge
Hours: 11:30AM - Midnight

Recreation:

For the Swimming Fan: The main pool, Stormalong Bay, is shared with the Beach Club resort. The pool features sandy bottoms, water jets, and a waterslide that flows out of an old shipwreck. There are also quiet pools at both resorts. Pool towels are available.

For the Mouseketeer: A playground is located near Stormalong Bay.

For the Game Player: The Lafferty Place Arcade is located next to Beaches & Cream Soda Shop.

For the Athletic One: Ship Shape Health Club features, Nautilus, Cardiovascular and Hammer Strength Equipment .. as well as

Paths for walking and jogging. Boat and bike rentals available at the Bayside Marina. Fishing excursions, Tennis and Volleyball courts are also offered.

For the Shopping Guru: Fittings and Fairings - Open 8AM - 11PM

Periwig's Beauty/Barber Shop - Open 9AM - 6PM daily.

Transportation:

Bus: Bus transportation is available to the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Water parks, and Downtown Disney.

Approximate Duration:
Disney's Hollywood Studios -- 15 minutes
Epcot -- 10 minutes
Magic Kingdom -- 20 minutes
Animal Kingdom -- 20 minutes
Downtown Disney -- 15 minutes

Walk: A short five to ten minute walk to Epcot's International Gateway. You can also walk to the Studios, Swan, Dolphin and Disney's BoardWalk.

Boats: Friendship launch to Disney's Hollywood Studios & Epcot.
